Has anyone noticed that the Colts now wear black boots?
The reason I noticed is because when Johnny Unitas died Peyton Manning wanted to wear black boots for the game in his honor and the NFL said they would fine him if he did.
Now, this year the entire Colts team wears black boots.
Think Manning put it in his mega contract??

There are a few teams who are wearing black shoes this year....Philly's also one of them.
It's one of those silly rules the NFL has about teams declaring what thier uniforms will look like prior to the season starting. I don't think that black shoes were ever "outlawed" by the NFL, teams all just started wearing white.

The Colts also changed their face mask color, and their socks. The facemask is now grey, and the socks are old-school striped, I think.
Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind.

They made several subtle changes to their uniforms this year including the shade of blue on their uniforms. Apparently it's supposed to be the same shade as the original uniforms going back to the franchise's days back in Baltimore.
