Yes it's too early to evaluate our QB's in this offense but, I believe we are seeing why Jacksonville decided to go in a new direction. Brunnell has the smarts but his arm is fading and the whole league knows it. Against Brunnell you could probably play 9 in the box. I still say we gave up way too much for Brunnell.
Patrick's got some flaws that will take time to un-learn.
For one he takes way too long to get out from center. He never looks off of his primary receiver and I'm still not convinced that his linemen can hear his signal calling. To Brunnell's credit, everybody can hear him calling "340" over and over again.
PRam is also painfully slow running laterally. The upside of Patrick is that LC is now a happy man. Also it appears that he's still in Spurrier mode trying to change the play at the line of scrimmage.
This week I'm more concerned about our defense. Our corners will face two big talented receivers. I don't like either match-up.

No, you're not. That's how I feel. I will support whoever we have in there. I've been doing it for 17 years (on next Wednesday) and I don't plan on stopping any time soon.

i completely agree, i think this team is waiting for one of the quaterbacks to take control and make it their team. I know we are a run dominated team. BUT the QB has to take control, and be it Brunell or PRam if one of them just takes over, and leads this team, i think we are in for a wonderful season(s). Ofcourse there are growing pains and adjustments, but those are true of any QB.
And someone should tell Patrick that he needs to stop thinking so much and just play. Take the advice from 'any given sunday' go to the buick and turn around.
Frankly, I'm not sure Brunell outplayed Ramsey to get the job to begin the season. Then, Brunell wasn't exactly stellar. He's young and needs the work. In today's game, successful teams NEED two QB's to get through the season. Ramsey will be fine, and has a bright future. He's gotta pull the ball down and secure it when in trouble. Scramble when he can and THROW THE BALL AWAY on any down that doesn't begin with, " 4th and ..."
I know we've been trained to be critical of our QB's - but Ramsey deserves a fair shot. A full week with reps and a full compliment of starters. He'll prove you negative nellies wrong... give him a chance. Don't start making excuses for losses before the game is ever played.
Hey guys just give PRam some time if he comes around great if not we wait till next year and get another QB. Brunell is not going to stay healthy all year even if he is the starter and he cant throw the long ball, so hope that PRam comes around
