Howdy Cowboys Fanatic!

Post by Pokes4Life »

This is a pretty good chat forum. Good to see a fellow Cowboy's fan in the enemies room. Some of these Deadskin fans are pretty informative and realistic, others I've seen lack football savy. But anyway, I posted a couple ONE-SIDED, very biased posts. But isn't that what opposing fans are supposed to do at times? I have my favorite Cowboy's chatroom that I frequent a lot, and there is ONE idiot that comes in there posting as Lavar Arrington. The boy is hopeless. Not even typing LaVar's name right. Oh well. He comes in there singing "Hail to the Deadskins". Funny thing is, back in 1960, most fans don't realize that the Cowboys bought the rights to "Hail to the Deadskins" just to mitigate and force the hand of the owner at the time of the Deadskins to allow the vote to go through to let Tex Schramm have a team in the city of Dallas, adding to the NFL mystique. We were nice enough to give the song back. LOL We never really liked it anyway. LOL :P

We usually resort this type of posting to the smack forum... If you would have read the rules when you entered our house, you would have known this... but you just bursted in posting your garbage everywhere.... i bet you're so proud

You have not seen BTP wound up. If that's wound up for a Cowboy's fan, I just have to wonder. Welcome but please play nice. Here the rules are not meant to be broken. Not every team likes to get 100 yards in penalties during a single game! ;-)

It's not my job to tell you to read the rules (there are moderators for that), so I won't.

But, of the posts I've seen from you, none have been remotely close to being "football talk" and aren't worth squabbling over.

Flaming... will not be tolerated and is defined as follows: Any post in a thread that addresses a poster directly, does not have anything to do with the original post or whose sole purpose is to illicit a negative response from other members of the site.

There you go big boy! Read that and it should clear up any confusion about rules that may or may not have been broken!

You call it strring the pot we call it...rule #6
6. Flaming is not allowed. Flaming is intentionally posting something to get a rise out of the group in a negative way. Watch for people who sign in with an avatar of another team, especially that stupid blue star. Usually the board members try to answer these attempts with a decent “PG” answer, but if it starts to go south, make a post saying that it’s not what we want here, warn the person guilty, and lock the thread.

We welcome fans from all teams...I have read your post and I have already moved a few. If you want to talk football fine this is the place. If you want to "stir to pot" take it to the smack forum.

If you'd listen to BTP you can go into the smack forum and have all the "fun" you want. Anything goes in there. Dude read the rules. It's not that hard to figure out.

The story about us buying Hail to the Redskins is true. Clint Murchison did it to force Washington's owner at the time (I forget his name, it's on the tip of my tounge. It was in 1960). Anyhoo, that's how the whole rivalry got started.

I THOUGHT YOU GUYS KNEW THIS!!!!

Yep. Tis true. The Redskin owner at the time didn't want a team from the south.

pokes, every time you post a new message that no one cares about you remove a topic that may be interesting. so basically, only make a new post if it is interesting.

Also AIRBAG (Get it? No more Hogs since you guys are Dirt Bags. So I just replaced Hog with Bag. Get it? Kinda funny cause now it says airbag, like the ones in cars and stuff.) ... if the room cuts stuff out, then maybe you need to get the administrator or chat engineers of this room to fix that lil problem now don't ya? :P

Pokes4Life... I'm only going to tell you once, because it doesn't seem like anyone else telling you has mattered.

Personal attacks are not allowed on this board except in the Smack forum. Now I understand that you're having a difficult time with this concept, but next time I read one... you will find yourself no longer able to post.

You've been pointed to the rules, and they've been cited to you... and you either don't listen, or are incapable of understanding.

And the next time I find an instance of it.. ignorance will not be a good enough excuse. Follow the rules... or don't post here... it's really quite simple.

Your impressions of the board, the staff etc are not required either if all you have to add is that we suck. You quite simply have no idea how to conduct yourself in someone else's house...

... and here... you don't get a CHOICE.

So keep pushing, and i'll gladly suspend you later today... probably when you try to answer this post.

GPM had radio/TV contract for the Redskins down into South Carolina, but I don't remember anythng about Texas. Too far away from anywhere.

Look at the Dallas Texans, and ask yourself why the NFL expanded to Dallas (and Minneapolis).
