A job called me back!!

Post by NikiH »

One of the many many jobs I applied for has just called me back. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Any advice you can give would be wonderful! ;-) This is the one I really want so let's hope it works out! And soon I'll be getting paid to post here! ;-)
Whenever I start to get blue, I just breathe!

My favortie line from the Simpsons:

Flanders: "Looks like someone is having a pre-rapture party!"

Homer: "No Flanders, it's a meeting of gay witches for abortion , you wouldn't be interested!"

Don't show up drunk and half-dressed. They don't like that.

Oh, and good luck. :)

UGH This job is a government job and I want it but good lord the red tape. The lady who called is the one who certifies appliacants to be interviewed. She had trouble with a job from 1995. The records only indicate, according to the employer when I left. So she is not sure if she is able to certify me for the position. I tried to sell myself and I guess we will see what happens.

I am of course a people person NC! ;-) And GF I was going to show up drunk. I thought it would make me stand out amongst the many job seekers. ;-) I mean they are not going to remember the girl in the gray suit but on mention of the girl who was trashed I'm sure they'd all remember it.

Oh and R4E, I'll let you guess what the job is. If you guess right I will be so very suprised. It's dealing with the public and information. LOL Those are your only hints. And for those of you around here who already know, SHHHHHHHHHH. Let him guess!

Is it a job at the Post Office?

Good luck NikiH! Just be yourself at the interview, interviewers hate it when people are phoney (if they are able to spot it).

Oh! And don't forget this is your chance to evaluate them and the job as well. Having a bad job and/or working at a bad company really stinks, trust me, I've done it.

Find out all you can about the position so you can ask intelligent questions at the interview...at some point you'll be asked "any questions?" and then instead of shrugging your shoulders and saying no, you can impress them with your interest by lobbing a few questions at them...good luck!!
