New Poster Here........
........for the first time. I've been a poster on various Redskins boards for the past five or so years. Most recently I was on the Extreme Skins board, which I might add, is a very great site. The problem is that the site has grown so big, so fast, there are alot of fans that are there to just cause problems. I exited that board on Sunday after the Giant loss. Hey, all of us were upset with the game, but the disgusting posts that were made on that board after that game was terrible. Personal attacks on players and posters alike. Very sad indeed. I've had enough of all those so-called die hard Redskin fans that attack the team after a loss, then come back a week later praising the same team that a week ago was the worst in the NFL. I've been a fan for over three decades now. I seen alot of good, and some very bad Redskin teams. But the thing that remains a constant is my love of the Redskins. Sure, I get upset after a loss, but not to the extent that others do. It is alot better to sit and discuss what went wrong, and how Joe Gibbs will fix it, then to verbally trash something you love. I hope this board will be the type to do this. Not get too high after a victory, and not too low after a loss. Afterall, it's just football, not life and death. I look forward to exchanging views with you guys.

Welcome to the board... I think you'll find what your looking for here.... Not that we don't have the firey types, but they're usually controlled or do it in the smack forum...

Welcome aboard, Over the Hill. This board definitely keeps its cool for the most part, but still gives its memebers a place to blow off some steam. You'll also find some pretty intelligent posters here (I wish I was one of them. . .)
Watch out for BTP, though, I think he's some kind of cult leader. . .

Just post my name, because I really want/wanted to push Rod Gardner off of a bridge Sunday...

Yea, BTP has it right. You'll find some pretty level headed members here. We may fly off of the handle every so often, but its just venting, we come back back to our senses after a day or so.
The road to the number 1 pick gaining speed!
Welcome OTH your a man after my own heart...I won't let these guys bash or beloved Skins without fight!!
Your right on don't get to high or low...Gibbs will fix this or he'll get some players who will!!!

Welcome to the board. I find in this site the views that are important to me. Sure, some people were frustrated, others were angry, but everyone was under control. The fact that we do not agree is what makes the board interesting and exciting.
The rules are clear and they are enforced by our chiefs. they do a fantastic job and we are very grateful to them.
Welcome home!
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

That was be u ti ful

When we're ready to throw someone under the bus, there's always one or two guys here to use common sense and point out what is being overlooked in the big picture. Trashing the Skins is unexceptable behavior from Skins fan. those Fans for that team from Texas well they just don't know any better...but we'll enlighten them this Monday... Happy posting

Welcome OTHS - but you still sound like a spring chicken to me.
This is a fun site with interesting folks and lively discussions. Your first posts perspective was spot on - it's a long season and there will be ups and downs, just stay true to your team.
Happy Posting.

Welcome OTH! We are all like family here! We fight like family but never attack one another. (No one bring up Flanders ok, that was supposed to be just a joke!
)

Whenever I start to get blue, I just breathe!
My favortie line from the Simpsons:
Flanders: "Looks like someone is having a pre-rapture party!"
Homer: "No Flanders, it's a meeting of gay witches for abortion , you wouldn't be interested!"

Welcome OTHS.
ES is what it is. We are what we are.
And we're very different.
We have rules of engagement here... we do our best to have everyone play by the same guidelines. We don't allow personal attacks on anyone... we try to keep bickering to a minimum... and we would rather have 2000 good posters than 20,000 wannabes... no porn allowed, no spamming allowed... and it is a PG board outside of the Smack forum.
All of these things are implemented with one goal in mind... lucid Redskin discussions.
I hope you enjoy the site.

Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

Welcome OTHS! Enjoy the site. As BossHog said, we do what we can to prevent the types of things that you left that other place to avoid.
Enjoy the site!
Enjoy the site!

If I may add, I'm also new... Name's Rory. I'm 19, and I live in Nashville, and was raised a die hard Skins' fan from my dad who grew up in McLean, VA. Good to see you guys actually have confidence in the Skins'. To be a Skins' fan, you must know how to deal with the losses.

OTH welcome, I'm pretty new two, and i havent visited many skins sites because this was the first one i saw and it is great. I will say this, no promises on not getting too high after victories or too low after loses. haha. Seriously who didn't atleast for a moment think the skins were going deep into the playoffs after that first game. BE HONEST...I try not to get too excited but its difficult after 10 years or so of dissappointment.
In any case welcome, these guys and gals are great.
