6 in a row? Very possible

Talk about the Washington Football Team here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

This is insane to talk about going 6-0! You know, 1-5 is also a possibility! First of all, it's very difficult to win on the road. So the Giants, Cleveland, and Chicago will all be tough to beat. (Not to mention that these three are all notoriously difficult places to play.) So who can we look forward to at home? Baltimore and Dallas? That's terrific. I don't care what Baltimore did last week... Until they show otherwise, that was a fluke. They have had a dominant defense for years! And we haven't been able to beat Dallas in forever--and if there's one coach that knows how to beat Gibbs, it's Parcells. Also, this year we are no longer the laughing stock of the NFL. Teams will be gunning for us.

If we win our home games and steal ONE game on the road, to go 4-2, it will be a spectacular accomplishment.

Too many cynics. It's not as if our looking ahead at games and making reasonably educated predictions about them is going to jinx the team somehow. Just as long as Gibbs isn't doing this kind of fantasizing, we should be OK.

Cleveland does look a bit grim on the road, especially if they continue to play as well as they did on Sunday. Jeff Garcia may be the spark they needed. . .

Sure, you can prognosticate 16-0, if you'd like. If you're posting it in anticipation of everybody just nodding dumbly, though....
Well, you'll be disappointed.
I used to watch the Weather Channel. I was a landscaper for a few years, and I needed to know what the weather was gonna be like for the next few days, so as to plan my jobs. You know what ? I learned that, despite the fancy radar, you really can't trust anything other than what you see right out your window.
"Power Rankings" be damned. The Redskins are going to have to earn every single yard this year, just like everybody else.
So, my next big milestone with our Skins will be 2-0. As a New York native with B&G inclinations, I'm biting my nails to the quick. I fully believe in jinxes, btw.
After that ? Guess.

So, is 6-0 still "very possible"? What a proposterous thing to even think about!

Ok, ok, 5-1 anyone? In a way I think we needed this game today to wake us up. The other team isn't just going to give us the game. We need to take it. I'm glad this happened early in the season, I just wish it had been against a non-division opponent.
