Enough Celebrating. We Now Have to Focus on the Giants!

Post by GoSkins »

This is a very important game that we MUST win. On paper we are a better team than the Giants. But we must prove it. Game 1 had all the Gibbs return hype and winning game #500. Now we must focus on beating a team in our division.

The Skins defense should present all sorts of problems for the Giants' offense. Warner can't hold onto the ball, their OL is their biggest weakness and it appears their defense isn't what it used to be.

We should win by 24-10.

The Bucs win was nice....but they are a 7-9 team this year, at best. The Giants, also a beatable team, are our first NFC East opponent this year. In recent years, the Skins have been absolutely horrible agains the NFC East. If we are supposed to be an improved team, this game is the game to start showing what we're made of!

"WE" who? The last time I suited up was 1969.

My job now is to watch and cheer.

I cannot influence the game plan. I cannot scout game film. And, no matter how well I execute, I will not make a single tackle.

I can but don my colors, grab my 6 pack, and turn my volume up real loud... And, I can curse the ref's and scream "the RED flag... throw the RED FLAG" all I want (sure, it's fun, but it won't change a thing  ).

Just bring on the Giants, so I can shut up a few more of the irritating locals (there are almost as many Giants fans here as Patsy fans... but, hey, they are still more civilized than Eagles fans, so I can't complain too much.)

If you any of you guys watched the Eagles - Giants Game.... the Giants D really need to tighten up are they will have a long day againts the skins.

Two of T.O's TD were just blown assignments, he was wide open. But I def. agree...one win in the bag, time to refocus on the Giants.

The Giants are a hard team to figure out. Watching the game yesterday, I felt that they could have beaten the eagles. I think that the Giants could go either way, they can either buy into the coach and he'll improve them or go against and implode.

Their o-line will be ravaged by our blitzes. They have some decent receivers and Warner is no slouch so we'll have to be tight in the 2ndary.

Tiki, and Ron are hard runners we're going to have to tackle them securely. Arm tackles wont take these guys down.

Overall, this should be a win for us. I'd like to say an easy win, but on any given Sunday any team can step it up.

Seriously. Celebrating is what we fans do best. Leave the focusing to the coaches and players.

Chris you pretty much covered it

Chris Luva Luva wrote:The Giants are a hard team to figure out. Watching the game yesterday, I felt that they could have beaten the eagles.

I agree but they seem to have lost their motivation after their first drive

Chris Luva Luva wrote: I think that the Giants could go either way, they can either buy into the coach and he'll improve them or go against and implode.

I agree with this also but who can figure Tom C. out. Strahan showed up for a team meeting 2 minutes early and was fined $1000.00 making him the 4th player to be fined for not being early enough.

Point 1 kind of make point 2 and 3 mute. Warner won't have time to do anything but run for his life

Chris Luva Luva wrote:Tiki, and Ron are hard runners we're going to have to tackle them securely. Arm tackles wont take these guys down.

Fortunatly our D now pratice the fundalmentals of tackling and this shouldn't be a issuse

I've got to agree with JH here we MUST win the game we are suppose too.... I think this is one that we will

Division wins gets us in the playoffs .period!!...we need this game Sunday big time and dont even get me started about how BIG monday nights game is next week....THEY ARE MUST WINS if we are to be contenders this year......Given the parity in this league divison wins is the only way to separate yourself...EXAMPLE..the Cowbitches were 10-6 last year right??....we were 5- 11 right..well guess what the Cowbitches were outside the divison..5-5..NO GREAT SHAKES..but they were 5-1 inside the divsion. Hence they gave themselves the oppurtunity to embarass themselves vs carolina in WC game...our skins on the other hand were 4-6 outside the divsion...right around the Cowbitches ..BUT were 1-5 inside the divsion....WE MUST BE 4-2 INSIDE OUR DIVSION AT A MINIMUM TO BE CONTENDERS ........It starts this week!!..
