Coles foot
I read a while back that Coles had some foot issues. Is this still an issue? What has he done to correct the injury? Are you worried at all that it will come back or is it a once and done type of injury?

he's got a problem with his toe. I'm not quite sure what the problem is. He opted to let the foot heal naturally over surgery, and it didn't heal all the way. He'll be fine though. He played on it for like 8-10 games last season. He's wearing special shoes now to help ease the pain during games. Probably have surgery after the season I would imagine.

Coles had been double/tripled teamed all game. That's why Rod Gardner was the main option throughout the game. Coles toe hasn't seemed to affect him yet. It's just that Tampa Bay's secondary controlled our passing game very well, hence Brunell's 125 yards, but forgot they have to also stop the run.

He actually decided against the surgery because there was a chance that he would not be able to play after the surgery. And even if he could, it could have possibly effected his ability to move the way he does. So he chose to put up with the pain. So you it's a problem but it's not a team problem. It's his problem. He just has to deal with the pain.

MURP wrote:thanks Scottskins. That is interesting. Has there been any talk from Coles or reporters that think the injury is preventing him in any way?
He has mentioned in interviews that he is at 90% with this injury. And as someone said (I don't remember who, or I'd give them credit) 90% of Coles is still darn good!

L. Coles
I expect L. Coles to have a better game this Sunday than any Eagles receiver this Monday.
Ah! and yes, including that guy TO, who will get a good lesson in receiving from Moss.

Oh, Moss will teach the Eagles young DB's a lessson or two, but any team that gives up 350 yard to 50 year old Testiclehertie and 9 catches to MeShawn, should be trembling with fear over facing TO! (Even if scatter armed McNabb is the guy lobbing the passes)
