Skins at Giants

Post by hatsOFF2gibbs »

How confident are you that we will beat the Giants? 70%, 80%, 99%......

I think our defense will once again thrive thanks to a GREAT defensive coordinator. Our offense will click more than against the Bucs but will still not be perfect. They will need some more time to jell and play the style of offense JGibb's would like. Portis is going to dominate against their bad D-line.
I feel very confident in their win. I might as well scratch in the "W" now...

Objections? Agreements?

Naturally I think we will win the game but how confident? Tiki Barber looks good, Ron Dayne looks good, Kurt Warner ain't that bad and is that dl that bad? Keith Washington, Strahan, Norman Hand, I don't know. Beat the crap out of Warner with the blitz, expose their small corners and run the ball effectively and we should be ok, but I'm never over confident about playing the giants.

65%
I still feel we are a little shakey and we need to get more offensive production. if the Giants get any lucky brakes, we could be in for trouble with a capitol T.

Confident or not, I want to beat the Giants SO badly this weekend. I don't want to just beat them, I want to really embarrass and humiliate them. I want Gregg Williams' boys to expose Kurt Warner for the Mark-Rypien-QB-in-the-right-system that he is. I want LaVar to make Tiki shorter by about four inches. I want Samuels to knock Strahan's two front teeth together and fix that gap. I want Sean Taylor to put Shockey down like a mangey dog. I want a beating that results in Coughlin's resignation on Monday!

Seriously, I hate the Giants. I hope the 'skins put them away for the rest of the season this weekend. Is that too much to ask?

I'm at 70%... but the Skins offense better get it in gear. Otherwise, let me be the first to say - put Ramsey in!

Umm....I don't think Samuels blocks Strahan. Pretty sure that was Jons job. So hopefully Kenyetta can do it. Regardless if he can't, Gibbs will give him help.

If you're at 70% without Ramsey, you better bump that down to 60% with him in. Ramsey still isn't ready, sad to say it but he's where he needs to be.

With our team steadily progressing and not staying stagnant like in years past, Im 90% sure we'll come away with a win. I'm 80% sure it'll be in a convincing fashion.

Tiki Barber didn't look that good. He had a lot of yards, yes...but 72 yards came on a 4th quarter long TD run.

I am 110% confident the Skins will win this week by 10+ points.

...and these are the games that scare Joe Gibbs:

- Giants have some talent

- Giants are at home

- Giants are coming off a loss in which they were out-played

- Giants have a tough coach

- First opportunity for the new Redskins to play for him after they have won. Do they slide back into Spurrier-land? Or do they fix those mistakes (such as the center snap fumbles) and play like this is a playoff game?

On the other hand:

- Giants have an easily broken QB

- Giants pass defense is scared of it's own shadow

- Giants can't stand their tough coach

The Giants can beat us. The last time we had a time with them was when Mr. Davis was running through the meadowlands like Big Bill does with his hoagies. Score was like 52-17. We can win this game and should. We cant afford to be over confident because we are not that good. They have some weapons on offense and Strahan is a beast. They have two good corners. Redskins win but like last week 17-13!! I hope Joe gives more carries to Ladell because I cant see Portis making it through the season if he carries it thirty times a game. Tampa put some vicious hits on him! Hail redskins, cant wait until monday 9-27!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, the last time we had a time with them was last season. 20-7.
Anyway, cliche' time.

You'd better hope that the players adopt the modesty and humility exuded by their head coach, esp. on D. If they start thinking that their crap doesn't stink...they'll start over-pursuing.
Warner is still a dangerous man.
Not as dangerous as, say, Brenda...but, still...:)

I'm also going with 90% on the win 80% on a blowout. Our defense should give the Giants more fits than Philly's did. I don't expect the Giants to score more than 10. Our offense could have easily scored 24-31 against Tampa if a few things had gone better. I feel much more confident against the Gints than I did Tampa. Joe will get the guys prepared and I see us putting up 24+.

I'm 100% sure that we'll beat New York on Sunday. We just outmatch them in every facet of the game. I'm only slightly concerned about Kenyatta Jones vs. Strahan but we will have extra blockers on the side.

The Giants' offensive line is a sieve. If we can keep the crowd out of it (so the defense can make their calls/adjustments like last week), we should be able to stop the run and pressure Warner.

I'll say 70%--only because the team is still learning to play consistently.

Safety

Post by Redskin in Canada »

Giannts announced today that they lost their safety for the entire season to an injury.

I wish they had their best team against us instead of making excuses about their line-up.

I never predict a win because anything can happen. But I am very comfortable about the outcome on Sunday. It will be the main event at FOX for the second week in a row.

We are missing a pro-bowl tackle, and a MLB. So its not like its totally unfair.

I'll have to say 80%.

I hope that the Redskins beat them for real. I'm not too high on their offense, but I think that they can do some things just as long as they don't make too many errors. As for defense, I'm sure they'll be like the defense that showed up last week or maybe even better. The Redskins defense impressed me in the Bucs game. I definitely see them doing some things in the Giants game. I hate the Giants. I see the Giants as being mediocre.
