NO NO JUST PLAYIN AROUND BUT HONESTLY I DONT THINK ITS GONNA WORK OUT WITH PORTIS IN JOE'S SYSTEM. WE CAME OUT MUCH STRONGER ON THE DEAL AND THATS ALL THERE IS TO IT.

I hate to say it, but Kansas has a leak to deal with and there players were out of position a lot, so dont get your hopes up past reality there guest.

just wondering, why do we have all these lurkers monitoring our boards? And why do the Denver fans get so defensive on OUR boards when we aren't even addressing them? GF is cool, Gambit is cool. They are regulars. BTW, where is Gambit? Is he already lurking in fear of week 3 8)

Denver Fans. WAKE UP!!!!!!!

Cornhole was going against one of the worst defenses in the league, remember? Portis was going against a regular top 10. Against Monty.

If you wanna talk about durability, look at your RB. He's 5'7 195. Portis is 5'11 205. Portis punishes opponents, Cornhole runs out of bounds. On his 33rd carry, he was still pounding them into submission, just like he was at the start of the game. If you ever actually watched games, instead of just looking at the scores afterwards, you'd know that RBs in this league get 2-3 yards on most carries. The thing that sets great ones apart, is their ability to break longer runs. Like say, a 64 yarder....

We all know, everyone knows, when Portis hit that first run, you all were going....OMG, what did we do.....

And your still thinking it. That's why your hitting every Redskins board you can find talking about how bad a deal we made and how Cornhole is the next great Denver RB. Talk to me in 8 weeks. Nevermind, after a few weeks, you'll never be heard from again, and you know it.

btw, KC gave up 146.5 yards rushing a game last season, so apparently Cornhole isn't that good afterall eh?

YEAH THE CAPS ARE LOCKED THATS RIGHT AND THERE GONNA STAY THAT WAY. THE DENVER BRONCOS MADE CLINTON PORTIS WHO HE IS TODAY. AND IF YOU ARE HAPPY WITH 2-3 YDS. PER CARRY THEN YOU'RE REALLY SHOOTIN FOR HIGH GOALS THERE HUGH. PORTIS HAD 5.5 YDS. PER CARRY WITH THE BRONCOS TWO YEARS IN A ROW. ABOUT HALF OF THAT WAS BECAUSE HIS SKILLS. AND WE DONT RUN AGAINST CRAPPY DEFENSES WE JUST MAKE THEM LOOK CRAPPY. YEAH THE CHIEFS ARENT THAT GREAT BUT I PROMISE Q WILL BE HURTIN DEFENSES ALL SEASON WITH HIS ELUSIVENESS. PLEASE DONT BE WORRIED ABOUT THE HEALTH OF QUENTIN EITHER BECAUSE HIS SIZE IS EXACTLY THE REASON ITS GONNA BE HARDER FOR HIM TO GET HURT. BUT WHY DONT WE ALL GET BACK TO THE SUBJECT HERE AND TALK ABOUT WHO GOT THE BETTER DEAL. WE DID HANDS DOWN AND MY BOY CHAMP WILL SHOW YOU WEEK BY WEEK WHY THAT IS THE TRUTH. YOU THINK JUST BECAUSE YOU BROUGHT A SENIOR CITIZEN OUT OF RETIREMENT AND GOT A SHOW OFF BACK WHO STILL HASNT PROVED HIMSELF YOUR GONNA BE GREAT. HA YOU BETTER START PRAYIN SON. THE BRONCOS ARE TWICE AS GOOD AS THE REDSKINS AND ALWAYS WILL BE SO HAVE FUN BEING DISSAPOINTEDAND REMEMBER MY NAME BECAUSE I WILL BE BACK TO RUB IT IN YOUR FACES EVERY WEEK.

So, let me get this sraight.

Portis runs for 1500 in each of his first two seasons with Denver, and he is unproven.

Griffin has a game where he runs for a below-average number of yards against a team that stinks against the run and he is the second coming of the messiah?

Interesting.

Portis, Bailey and their replacements (Griffin and Springs) all had great games in their first week for their teams. Is it really so hard to accept that both teams greatly benefited from this trade?

Anyone who thinks Portis is going to average 2-3 yards is out of their minds. Unless they are confusing the Redskins with the Cowboys, and Clinton Portis with Eddie George...

Gambit is gone--he refused to play by the rules his entire stay here.

As I remember it, Bailey did not want to be a Redskin. He wanted the money. Fine. He belongs gone.

In return, the Redskins got a runner with speed, moves, and desire. Joe Gibbs knows what to do with runners of all types -- think Riggins, Rogers, Bryant, Riggs, Byner, Ervins -- and he knows how to use Portis. As a start, he gives Portis the ball behind a line taught by Joe Bugel. Again and again. What was Bugel's quote about 40 Gut and 50 Gut?

senior citizen? whose got more superbowl wins, Denver or Joe Gibbs? For a guy whose team got whooped by the team he's bagging on 42-10, you sure got a lot of nerve. Twice as good and always will be? Sorry there partner, Elways gone and that senior citizen aint never comin back.

As I said, we shall see. What we won't see is you around here talking smack because Portis will be whoopin Corns butt. If you think any different, your in lala land.
