Oh, Mark...
You peaked so soon. How will you EVER top this ?
Oh, I know. Accreditation.
In my opinion, this is going to put you on the fast track to the Ultimate Goal. A simple web search will turn up your scraper, and BAM ! New member.
Your hard work is about to pay off. I can see it from here.
Nice, man. Very nice.
And, oh, Jake ? Ant ?
Scoop this. :)

Great Job on the News section BH  You must be the last to get the news, so I must point something out to you that everyone else here already knows..... This Board has been the best source for Redskin News for as long as I've been here... I don't know how you do it but you keep making it better  ...The option to open a page is something you'll get nowhere else other site just open a new page or move you to the link with the user having no control. THANKS BOSS :hail: :hail:

Thanks everyone.

What's next?

Some rest from the news section... there were a couple of real issues in development, and I'd just as soon not think about parsing, scraping, aggregating, or caching for a little while. I keep telling you... I'm a hack... it's real taxing when things don't work and you actually have to think. :hmm:

It turned out pretty slick though if I do say so myself... the 'around the net' section has fresh headlines SEVERAL times a day and it catches links you might not normally find.

With all of the content right now... it's actually almost hard to keep up with the news page...

... and that pretty much sums up my goal for the page... all the Redskin news that's fit to link...

and TC... eventually. But thanks for the kind words anyway. As for topping this... I always have a rabbit in the hat, but I agree that this will be a pretty good benchmark. I'll take it as a challenge though, and you can let me know if I ever manage to succeed in topping it.

BossHog,
This is my first post -- although I must admit to being a longtime lurker at this site!!
I just wanted to thank you and the other folks who work so hard to make the Hogs.net such a marvelous place to visit, connect, and bleed Burgundy and Gold!
The News Portal is just awesome. Even though I can't begin to imagine the vast amount of time and energy you all expend on our behalf, I do want to say a most sincere thanks for all you do for all of us. KateSkin

Wow! Dropped out of 'lurking' to say thanks... I appreciate that.

And you're welcome... it's no problem! We're just trying to build the best Redskins community on the web. And from the general feedback I have received over the last few days... I'd say the new News Section is helping do just that.

I am loving a section that requires NO work from me at all... it was almost worth the inordinate amount of development time already!!!

Let me add my thanks - this is now my home page!

I know that you hear it all the time... THANKS!

best to you all,

Jock
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
