refs

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

refs

Post by Scottskins »

did anybody else notice over the course of the weekend that the refs were NOT calling holding calls on DBs like they said they were going to? It was very very sporadic. I watched a lot of games, and one time a guy would "accidentally" barely brush a guy past 5 yards and out came the little yellow flag. The next play, the DB would actually grab a guys jersey for like a second, and nada. It happened a lot too. This really irritates me, because it went against the skins moreso than the Bucs, and it definitely affected my fantasy football drafting. I went more WR heavy than normal expecting DBs to back off a bit, and they haven't, and it now seems there is no reason for them to.

They certainly didn't call it on the two guys mugging Coles in the second half.

I think the rules state that mugging is allowed, just not holding.
