In "defending their turf", Lenny boy also noticed that Brunell's arm is weak. Ramsey could have made those long throws that Mark underthrew.
Well, I'd have to agree with Fat Len on that. Its true, he left Coles out to dry at least 2 times. I said that in a couple of posts earlier today. Coles yards may suffer a bit, but his YAC percentage should shoot up.
He still doesn't give the skins much credit. He still throws his jabs concerning the rushing yards by Portis after the 64 yard run.
Ok so lets take that 64 yard run out of the stats just for arguements sake. That means Portis rushed for 84 yards on 28 carries for an average of 3 yards per carry. Which is not great I know but this is against the Bucs defensive which was #1 in preseason, #5 I think last year and #1 a couple of years ago.
All in all its just one game, I understand we shouldn't jump the gun and say we will when the superbowl, but jeez Lenny should credit the fact that there was no sacks allowed, no offsides penalties, only 3 total penalties, and about 100 yards rushing by the team even without the Portis 64 yard run and this against a pretty good D.
Yeah, Fat Man was giving backhanded compliments thru clenched teeth in those articles...from Gibbs' "cronyism", to the Brunell rip, etc, etc.
You can feel the seething hatred as he had to endure a Burgundy and Gold victory and then write about it. I really don't know what his problem is, you don't have to jump on the bandwagon, but some impartiality wouldn't hurt. I wouldn't be surprised if he was the creator of the "Brian McIlvaney - Clinton Portis is out 8-10 weeks cuz of a weight room injury" hoax; sending it to CBS sportsline so he wouldn't lose his job...
What a hater.
Two formation shifts, one man in motion, and a counter trey...those were the days...
