I got Cooley.
I drafted Chris
ey in my fantasy league, and he's listed as a RB/TE. I think this guy might be one of the cornerstones of Gibbs' offense. The analysts say that he's not a good fantasy pick, but I think he's going to be a gold mine.

Sit back and watch the Redskins.

I think if you know Joe Gibbs' style of offense, then you can go with the heart. But, it's still dangerous. Portis is a great pick for fantasy football. He's going to get a ton of yards, carries, TD's, and even receptions. I think
ey could be a diamond in the rough in fantasy football. I base this on the fact that Gibbs speaks so highly of him, and he's climbed the depth chart which indicates to me that Gibbs is gonna use him a lot. He's a bruiser that's going to get a lot of yards after he catches the ball, and he'll even get some running yards I think.
The only rule I have in fantasy football is NEVER, EVER, EVERRRRRRRRRRR pick or play a Cowpuke!!

In the league I played last year (mind you we stunk last year), Jansen Fan had John Hall. And he actually did pretty well with him. In our league you also got points for kickers making tackles too!

Yeah, I created the league with John Hall in mind.

Hmmmm he cheated and I still beat his butt.
Anyway I think
ey is going to be highly used as well. We saw that one or two great plays from him in the Falcons game, and I think that must be what coaches have been seeing of him in practice all along.

With those picks your really are setting yourself up for a bad week - the Skins bye week. I never draft more than 2 starting players from one team. And never a QB/RB combo. QB/WR sometimes works. I have Portis as a starter and Brunell and Hall as backups. The Cowgirls are my DEF - ugh....

this is just sad. I never pick redskins. Unless it was a great value pick. Conflict of interest and all =)
This year, I picked up Coles, Brunell and the Skins Defense.
Defense doesn't really matter except for a few, and I will be starting KC's defense.
Brunnell is Matt Hasselbeck's backup.
Coles is my starter. And I have no problem with that
See what Gibbs has done to me lol

I grabbed
ey too. There's Gonzalez and after that it isn't worth wasting a high or even medium pick on a TE. Shockey maybe?
So
ey is cool, especially when it looked like Brunell was looking for him during preseason. Brunell will definitely have favorites; when he gets confidence in a receiver, he will go to them, sometimes too much.
Prior to last night's game I benched New England and started The Skins on defense. So far I'm looking good.

We almost have the exact same team. I have Coles. Brunell is backing up Matt Hasselbeck. I have Washington's Defense backing up Baltimore.Scottskins wrote:this is just sad. I never pick reskins. Unless it was a great value pick. Conflict of interest and all =)

hailskins666, you must not play fantasy football. How good the defense is doesn't matter. What matters is punt returns and kick returns for TDs and defensive TDs. Sacks and interceptions count as well, but they are usually only 1 point each. Washington had 65 points last season, and KC had 115. KC is almost always one of the best defenses to have in fantasy football

TE's are a waste of draft picks until late rounds anyway. Obviously that doesn't include Tony G, but somebody always reaches for him in the 3rd round, which is way too early to take him, so I never worry about tight ends. If I can get 500 yards and 3 TDs out of my TE's, both of which are taken after the 7th round, I'm happy. Tony G had 10 TDs last season, Boo Williams had 5. Everyone else had 4 or less. Shockey is one of the worst Fantasy TE's there is. He never socres TDs. Decent amount of yards, but that don't mean nadda when other guys get half the yards and 3 or 4 TDs to his 1.

Actually I have question marks for my RB. I got screwed. I drafted second to last in the 1st round. I have Charlie Garner, Kevin Jones, Eddie George, and Duckett. I hope, (not this Sunday), that Garner has a good year. I hope Kevin Jones has a great rookie year.

if you say so, there are about 28 other teams i'd put in front of KC. low scoring and shut out games can win a week for you. but like you said, i must not have a clue. good luck with your chiefs. i'll stick to my indians.Scottskins wrote:hailskins666, you must not play fantasy football. also, do you really need to make 4 post in a row? can't you just put that in ONE post, and not make the thread so clustered? or are you just padding you post count?

Brandon777,
Pick up Lamar Gordon if you can next week. I have Bennett(out a couple weeks), and I figure Lamar will do pretty well with Miami.
My RBs are Lewis, Bennett, Steven Jackson and Deshuan Foster. I picked two backups because of their potential. I think Faulk is going to get hurt early. If he does, Jackson will be a huge payoff for me. Foster was sort of a gamble, but with his fumbles he's gonna lose time.
Your guys look alright, no studs(which will hurt any fantasy team since RBs are usually the deciding factor), but you can fix it. Get rid of Eddie George at the very least. He never put up good stats for the Titans, he definitely won't with the cowboys. Kevin Jones and Duckett should be upper 2nd tier guys. Garner is a complete unknown. Might think about picking up Jackson if he's not gone already as well.
Hailskins666-
like I said, it's about FF points, not lowscoring games etc... although shutouts get 6 points in my league as well
As for the mulitple posting, I gotta catch up somehow don't I?
just kidding
I'll try and clean it up from now on =)
