Parcells fumes after Cowboys last preseason game!

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

As people were discussing in another thread, some teams have slightly biased "reporting" against them.

That hatchet job certainly qualifies.

The game was 14-10 at the half, with the Chiefs getting a 53 yard TD on a blown assignment by someone who probably won't make the team.

Even if the Cowboys were receiving "slightly" biased reporting against them, their starters still did not look good against the poor KC defense.

Vinny couldn't hit the side of a barn

Eddie George was well below his 3.3 average (9 carries, 8 yards)

Dallass' corners couldn't cover Louie Anderson.

KC's defense has been very good this preseason. They've pulled a "Spurrier" and showed everything they've had from day one.

I'm not a big fan of George getting a lot of carries, I never thought it was a good signing, but he does what Parcells wants, grind it out football.

Corner is also a concern, but Woodsen's absence plays a huge factor into the overall coverages.

Once both teams started taking out their starters, Dallas backup quarterback Tony Romo led three straight scoring drives and the defense made it hold up.

And he makes great ribs, too!

Vinny might not have been great last night, but he still is 38/58 for 438 Yards, 1 TD and a 65.5% Completion Pct. He has also started every game against the starters!

However Brunell who has taken turns starting with two starts is 22/40 for 244 yards 1 TD and a 55.0% Completion Pct.

Eddie means nothing, he will be used in 4th quarters and goal lines! Julius has a 4.7 and Richie has a 7.4 yard average! Both of those are higher than Portis, Cartwright, McCullough. Corner! not corners, we just need a RCB in a bad way! That should be resolved by Monday the 27th, don't worry!
Philly Lost!

Couldn't have happened to a nicer team or a nicer set of fans!

Well DCF, I guess the only way to settle who is right, will be on MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL (Sept 27)!

How about a little wager???...

If the Pies win (never gonna happen), I'll post on this site, that I have the upmost respect for the Cowboys ( :puke: )

If (when) the Skins win, you have to post on this site, that you have the upmost respect for the Skins ( )

Whatdya' say?

Cowboys | Romo Enters as No. 2 QB - from www.KFFL.com
Fri, 3 Sep 2004 17:46:10 -0700

Jaime Aron, of the Associated Press, reports Dallas Cowboys backup QB Tony Romo will enter the 2004 season as the No. 2 quarterback, having beaten out rookie QB Drew Henson for the top role behind starter Vinny Testaverde.

Cowboys | Running Back by Committee - from www.KFFL.com
Fri, 3 Sep 2004 17:56:17 -0700

Jaime Aron, of the Associated Press, reports running back by committee appears in store for the Dallas Cowboys in 2004, as head coach Bill Parcells doesn't plan to name a starting running back for the first week of the NFL season until he gets to Minnesota for their opening game against the Minnesota Vikings. "Who starts in the game seems to be of prime importance ... but I don't know why. It doesn't make any difference," Parcells said. "How we do it could be from week to week a changeable thing." RBs Eddie George, Julius Jones or possibly even FB Richie Anderson are in the mix to open as the team's "starter." Parcells believes it's a silly discussion because all three backs will get their share of action.

They need about 2 weeks before they fall completely apart

Good Timing
I have travelled the net and found the Redskins promise land. This is, by far, the best site out there for Redskins/NFL News, Notes, Opinions, and so much more.
