I'm beginning to think Drew Lock will be there at 15. He is our man if not Rosen or actually i would be OK with Stidham. If Dan wants to get away with a slightly risky draft strategy waiting for Stidhan as our 4th pick in the 3rd could be a playoff team with 3 studs before him chosen. That could work.

Lock was quested as saying he'd rather be picked late and sit behind Brady for two years than be picked by a bad team. How do you think that's going to play with teams looking for a QB?

I don't think it means anything to a team that wants a QB. Nothing at all

I know this. If Dan trades up to get a QB he has a head full of rocks Now if he trades up for Nick Bosa or Josh Allen that's a different story. That is someone worth trading up for. You hear me Dan?? Trading up for one of these QBs is just nuts.

Its weird how talk about Lock has cooled off lately. Not sure what to make of that. Bengals, Broncos, Dolphins all ahead of us and places where I could see him going.

Dianna Russini of ESPN reports that there’s disagreement within Washington’s front office about which quarterback to select. Bruce Allen and Dan Snyder like Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins, but others prefer Duke’ Daniel Jones.
I don't have an opinion on who is right. But in this case I would probably defer to "others".

If the Cardinals thought that Josh Rosen might be good enough to be a starting QB don't you think they would do anything they could to build around him and if they think that he's not good enough to be a starting QB then they would be very fortunate to find some idiot to give high draft picks to take him off their hands

If Jay Gruden and Doug Williams think that Josh Rosen would be a good fit here then they should try and make a trade for him but it shouldn't be be a high draft pick
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I'd defer to Doug Williams, Matt Cavanaugh, and anyone else on the staff who has played QB at the NFL level. But that's just me.

With you. Personally I trust Jay on this as well. He wasn't wrong about RG3 v Cousins.

B Mitch was PSYCHED about Haskins this morning. :)

Who knows?? I'll say this...what system and what you have around you matters!! I think if you switched teams with Haskins and Jones the storyline would be different. Haskins had much more around him at OSU. Will Jones fair better in the NFL because he has a great back behind him? Time will tell! I don't think it's just bad luck that players come here and fail...

No, it is not. You're right about that. Ryan Clark always comes to mind.

I kinda think Haskins could be a lifeline for Gruden this year. Going 7-9 with Keenum isn't going to keep him employed at the end of the year IMO. If they're able to show some progress with Haskins, I think he could make a different case to stay. Will be interesting to see how they approach it.

Anyone have odds on who starts in September?

Most don't complete 70% of their pass attempts.[/quote]

Unless they are wide open by design NFL receivers against mostly always college not pro DBs in single coverage. Although he can't help that and got them the ball.

Oops sorry already made that point

That's the whole point of passing routes ... to be wide open by design.
