Hmm ... if the Chiefs were to cut Eric Berry, as is likely since they signed Tyrannn Mathieu to a huge contract, would it be worth taking a flier on him? He's over 30 and has had injuries so he'd come cheap but he is a natural free safety.

Hmmmm I always wanted Berry... I guess even an aging EB is better then most of what we have fielded. That said I like some of the young talent we have and who knows, having Berry in the room could help one of em become his successor?

Itd have to be cheap- and I doubt we get that with the feeding frenzy out there for Safeties

If I recall correctly our starter from last year (not Swearinger) is on the Commissioner's *sh$t* list for something or other. We don't even know if he's going to be eligible to play.

Zach Brown and Stacy McGee both have been released to free up cap space.

Expected moves. It won't be surprising if Norman is next.

Zach Brown is such a weird one. I think he's a good player. Not sure what happened with him last year.

I don't know but no one could tackle last year and you have to think Rob Ryan wants his own guys in there.

AP coming back
@JosinaAnderson

RB Adrian Peterson just called me and told me "I am going back to the #Redskins. It will be a 2-year deal. I feel like we made some good moves to get to where we are trying to go."

This was a no-brainer. He's the best back they've had in years.

Kind of surprised its a two year deal given his age, but I agree it was a no-brainer to bring him back if he was up for it.

Really hope we get to see both AP and Guice on the field at the same time.

Scary stuff.

Guice gets eased in, time to learn, AP gets rest. Pretty much ideal

The 2 years was probably the best way to go- we have some flux with cap hit this year, he gets more then a vet min "prove it" deal like last year.... Kinda a win win I'd bet

I like it. A two-year deal shows him we still respect what he brings to the table, and at this point respect seems to be worth a lot to him.

As for performance . . . well, he looked fresh last year, and going forward he'll be splitting carries with Guice. The guy is a once-in-a-generation athlete, physically, and one of the few old RBs it's worth gambling on. Anyway, I'm quite sure we can dump the second year if need be without killing our cap.

The Chiefs did release Berry but apparently the Skins think they can re-sign Clinton-Dix. I was sure he would be out of their price range. I guess they also think he needs more time in the system since his play last season wasn't exactly pro bowl caliber.

And I respect that about him. Agree with your comment overall too. I'm sure he had options for another one year with other teams, but the guy put up a 1000+ yards last year with another 200 yards receiving. On a team that started both Mark Sanchez and Josh Johnson.

He earned that 2 year deal.

Been reading some speculation that the Skins might still try to make a splashy trade for a WR. Someone like AJ Green maybe. (This is pure speculation.) I don't hate the idea out of hand, but if we're really going into the season with McCoy and Keenum at QB not sure I see the point. Might as well save any picks you might trade and just draft some guys.

Keenum > McCoy

Keenum had no problem feeding Diggs and Thieland.. Why not bolster his options?
That said I dont see it happening... There will be some good prospects on the board at 15- but then again drafting wr seems to be our nemises! Whos our starters now? Jdoc, Mo, Mr Irrelevant, and Simms? Nothing really scary there- although Im excited to see Simms on the field... Wouldnt argue against anyone saying wideout is an area of need however

I saw that yesterday. Today he signed with the Bears. So, we're back to Eric Berry. 8-[

I would take AJ Green for the right price. He is 30 and did only play in nine games last season.

He already signed? Hadnt seen that... Shame. Probably more then we could fork pver- especially since we have other positions to pursue. I think Berry would be cheaper, and hopefully as good. With Collins back there with him, I think he'd be better then what we have. Monte is likely suspended right?

HaHa had DJ last year and both looked meh

No problem with AJ Green at all. I just wouldn't be hyped about a trade for a WR given our current QB situation.
