Don't be an idiot. Teams take risky and/or suspect guys all the time. Google f'ing Mychal Kendricks. How many times has Josh Gordon been suspended for drugs?

If you don't like the move, that's a totally respectable opinion.

I'm not an idiot - this whole deal has been handled really badly by the FO - it seems that many other franchises feel the same

Do you you think that this has been managed well by the Redskins?

when using other players as an example please name one that was taken within hours and with no regard for what had happened and then explained so badly by the franchise

btw - have we heard anything from this FO about Adrian Peterson confirming that he still beats his child - I'm not in the DC area so I'm not as up to speed on these things
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I don't really care about this as long as it helps get everyone fired at the end of the season
and
it would be a bonus if we end up with another Alabama player on the roster next season - can't have enough young talented players for the next few years as we continue to build our roster and get our franchise QB ready

There's probably a reason nobody responded the first time you posted this asinine comment.

There was an article two days ago where Peterson said he still does it. I do agree with kids getting spanked for misbehaving as long as it does not cause injury. I think people who discipline their kids care about them and want to see them grow up to be responsible adults, reasonable discipline is part of that.

It doesn't matter if a player who was arrested for abuse waits one hour or several weeks to get picked up again. It is still the same outcome. This is the end of my comments on this.

ASHBURN, Va. -- Washington Redskins executive Doug Williams apologized Friday for comments he made Thursday, when he called linebacker Reuben Foster's domestic violence arrest "small potatoes" when compared to crimes committed by people in positions of power.
This just in on the same subject of Foster. Wha'????

I would not be surprised AT ALL if we fire up Redskins 01 and go get Hunt. He's the kind of player you only see every 10-20 years.

Just another monumental F/U by the FO - Once again the guys in charge here have shown that they don't know how to manage an NFL franchise

I understand the 'reasons' but I think the way they're going about it and the 'explanations' are clearly indicative of guys who are desperately trying to find ways to make up for the stupid decisions they have made and their inability to have a plan and follow it like other franchises do

there is no excuse for this behavior - be interesting to see what Snyder does about this and, if nothing, then hopefully the NFL does it

MNF pregame stuff will be fun to watch

I could care less what everyone else in the league thought. Nobody wanted to draft Guice either.

They claimed the contract rights for a guy who may or may not be available to play, and they've publicly stated that Foster won't see the field until and unless his legal situation is resolved.

I don't understand why people can't wait for the legal process to determine what this guy's status is before they get their panties all twisted up.

Does "people" include the Washington Redskins :hmm:
Also with that logic, why not claim Hunt?

If they didn't have Peterson and Guice they probably would claim Hunt. Bobby Beathard never would have signed anyone with character issues, right? (Cough, Riggins, cough)

I never said that. I said "character issues." Dexter Manley had a few, too. I don't know that either Riggins or Manley were ever accused of domestic violence. It was just the point that it's not as though the Redskins have never signed anyone with character concerns and / or legal issues before. Call me what you will but I want a successful football team and if that means signing people who barely avoid prison I'm fine with it. None of them will be dating my daughters.

Because as I understand it there is video evidence of Kareem Hunt assaulting a woman. Unless I'm mistaken, there is only a he said/she said complaint against Reuben Foster right now. Am I wrong about that?

I don't want the team to have guys on the team who beat women. Period. But I would encourage people to 1) look at what has been reported so far and 2) wait for all of the facts to come out before you start making all of these judgements.

People spent two straight weeks trashing this Avenatti guy as a woman beater before he was ultimately not charged:
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/pol ... 082328002/

The facts will come out on Foster too. All the team has done is made a $250K bet on the outcome.

(I am not making any endorsements of Avenatti as any kind of quality person btw. lol. Just making a point about innocent until proven guilty.)

A DV charge... Doesnt necessarily mean he is a "woman beater" .
If there is a argument and the cops are called- calling her a B or breaking a lamp gets you put in cuffs. Hell if tou had a drink and she says you're being a jerk- you get a DV.

A woman can claw your face, drawing blood, and if you simply pin her down/ subdue the crazyness- THE MAN goes to jail.

With that said, lets see how the court rules as more facts surface before we condemn him.
