Yeah an Adam Thielen would be nice. I guess my question though is: week 8, what options are there really to get?

Still think they should look at Dez Bryant as a short term help.
My guess is Devante Parker can be had for next to nothing. Dez Bryant would love to beat his former team and he costs zero draft picks. Demaryius Thomas is probably available cheap. Devante Parker is available for a 3rd or lower. Desean Jackson is probably available. The Bucs aren't going anywhere. Hell, I'd even make a phone call on Larry Fitzgerald. Maybe he'd like a chance at the playoffs before he retires.

Nice list! I'd give up a 4th rounder, maybe a 3rd depending on the guy.

DJax has actually been pretty good this year. That would be a super easy move to make obviously, though I don't know what kind of trade you'd have to do to make it happen.

DL and LB seems solid. DB's are OK, sometimes. OL, so far, not awful. Play on, hope for some luck, and draft a WR. Maybe this is the seasn when injuries don't hit as hard?

I'm not that desperate for a receiver. [-X

If you wanted Amari Cooper you had to break the bank. First round pick next year. And you're going to have to sign him again a year from now.

Meanwhile our best player on offense is a running back we signed off the street for the vet minimum.

I would call both of these moves sensible.
I'm very glad we did not go after Amari Cooper - my post indicated adding guys that would not cost a lot - while Bruce and Dan are in charge I'm basically dreaming because they don't have a clue - we do have some good young players but lets face it adding Allen and Payne was a no brainer

until we lose Allen and bring in someone that has a clue about building and managing a franchise we're doomed to hoping we get lucky because what you get with Dan & Bruce (Dumb & Dumber) is a mediocre franchise - look at the record - doing well this season means little if we have to have Allen and Gruden next season
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Good grief man, we just beat Dallas and we're 4-2. Maybe try to enjoy the football team for a few months. We have more than enough opportunity to complain about who sucks and who needs to go. There's always a good chance that we'll get embarrassed by the Giants this weekend. :D

He's also due $14m next year. That dude is in a great position going into the final year of his contract. Jerry Jones, not so much.

I'm happy about how well this season is going and there is NO WAY that this team is losing to the giants this week ... although that would be one way to get rid of Jay Gruden

I can't stand Bruce Allen and I want a better HC - apart from that I'm happy with how things are going

Do you think so man, really? I know the Giants are terrible, but losing to them this weekend would be the least surprising thing ever. They've done it to Gruden repeatedly over the years.

Don't know about you, but I am definitely not counting on anything.

Me either!! I can't believe I'm going to say this , but I kinda of view this game as a "must win"! If we lose to a 1-6 Giants team, its tells me not much has changed. If we go up there and take care of business (which would be 3 straight) it shows me this might be the beginning of something??

The Giants might have the worst QB in the league but they have a 2-1 record against the Skins in their last three meetings so I'm not discounting this game as being a walkover.

That's a smart take. I'm with you 100% on that.

We've been down this road repeatedly where we think the team might be turning a corner, then they get embarrassed by a weak ass Giants team. I think its a big game.

This is a HUGE game.

I expect an ugly showing by our offense, but another good game by our D.
Maybe that's enough to beat NYG. But their stadium has been a recurring nightmare for us.

the Redskins have come a long way since the disaster in New Orleans

I'm not concerned about our record in that stadium ... all that matters is the here and now - this team is not losing to that bunch this Sunday

Callahan is just too good of an O line coach and Manusky will have his group fired up to get after Eli

FWIW - I really do not like the giants - this is going to be fun

I'd say we could easily loose to the Giants, we're a better team inmo but this is a Giants/Skins game at the Meadowlands. It'll be an a**pincer for sure. As for receivers, I'd say we're good. They haven't found themselves yet, they aren't a receiving corps, they're getting there. Give them the time to work it out, hopefully they'll peak just at the right point in the season. There's some young talent that need the time to figure it all out. Remember The Possee didn't happen after the first season of playing together much less after the first 6 games. Have faith.
Dez Bryant would be a disaster, visualize him going up and down the sidelines demanding the ball and questioning every coaching & quarterback decision. Bad ju-ju that.
