Cowboys v. Redskins

Post by vomit »

Greetings all. Your resident Cowboy fan, I Vomit, is back. What are your thoughts on Sundays game?

I haven't watched much football this year, but know the cowboys will blow it....that is to say, they will flail in mediocrity's gasp (8-8, 7-9) and Garrett & company stay, and get a middling 1st round pick. With that said, what Cowboys team shows up? I think it's the crap show. Last week had to be a fluke.

End result? You guys win, and Garrett claps through it all.

Skins 24, Cowflops 10.

Thoughts?

Have a great week and I hope I am wrong.....

Well if the Reskins hold serve this will be a down week for the them. We need a good butt whipping to get up the next week...should be a close low scoring game.

My thoughts are the Redskins lose to the Cowboys no matter how awful the Cowboys happen to be at the time. Also, aren't we at THN about due for a visit from the resident Cowboys troll?

The Skins won last weekend, so its safe to say that they will lose this weekend. Also, we seem to be no match for the coaching genius of Jason Garrett.

If you leave Zeke at home, maybe we'll keep it close.

The Redskins ... making the Cowboys look like a competitive team since 1992.

52 games played. 17-35 record.

I had no idea. I love football but can't seem to care as much about it as I used to, unless its my boys team......7th graders went undefeated this season outscoring their opponents 118-0.

Blatz for you all.

Injury update for the Redskins:
Out: Crowder
Doubtful: Richardson, Apke

I'd say things were looking pretty grim at WR, but at least we have Josh Doctson. ROTFALMAO

obviously, a really BIG game for both franchises - it's been a long time since we measured up or played well enough to win one of these games

be interesting to see how things go - wish I could say that I have a good feeling about this .... I hope I'm wrong
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

When we're activating guys from the practice squad it's time to make some phone calls to the Raiders about Amari Cooper and to Dez Bryant's agent. We're going to piss this season away by refusing to address obvious needs. I will fall over laughing if Michael Floyd ends up being the hero.

Losing Crowder hurts... Luckily Alex doesnt seem to have a "chemistry" with any wide out to speak of. Richardaon has made some plays, but Reed and VD will be and have been his favorite targets.
I just hope we play like we want it. Floyd Harris and JDoc doesn't scare the opposition- but we've fielded worse so not gonna freak out.

With that said- duck fallas, hope we can bottle up Zeke and contain inDacurates legs... If we force them to beat us through the air- we can pwn them

Its crazy, I don't get how you don't at least kick the tires on Dez.

If there's a deal to be made on Amari Cooper, I'd be for it. But I'm not trading away 1st rounders or anything.

I saw the Broncos are listening to trade offers for Demarius Thomas. 30 year old guy, still a quality WR. Might be a decent option and middle ground between Dez and Amari Cooper?

Speaking of... damn! Jerruh just traded a first rounder to the Raiders. Amari Cooper now a Cowboy.

Not good for the Skins. Bruce Allen can't let things like this happen. We lose the next one.

IF anyone in the FO had even a little bit of sense they would be making some moves to help the offense - we don't need to break the bank here

it's such a shame that Snyder won't bring in a new top guy to finish off this season well, establish some credibility so he can go get a good HC

Jay Gruden's not a bad HC but he's not a good HC either - we have a good nucleus of young players here - we just need better people at the top

What would you have Bruce do in this situation? The Cowboys gave up a 1st round pick for a WR coming off two disappointing seasons with one year left on his contract.

That 1st round pick is Jonathan Allen. Or Daron Payne. Or Brandon Scherff. More than likely a blue chip player you get to pay the rookie contract.

No thanks.

If you wanted Amari Cooper you had to break the bank. First round pick next year. And you're going to have to sign him again a year from now.

Meanwhile our best player on offense is a running back we signed off the street for the vet minimum.

I would call both of these moves sensible.

I'm not suggesting coughing up a 1st round pick for Cooper or anyone else but if you look at the receiving numbers from Sunday you'll notice not one receiver had 50 yards. That's not all on Alex Smith. I know people are down on him right now but he's got nothing in the way of wide receivers. Kapri Effing Bibbs led the team with four receptions. There are players available who won't cost a 1st round pick. They need to do something. This plan won't hold up over the next ten games.

Oh I noticed! You're 100% correct the leading WR was freaking Bibbs.

Its been a decent team so far this year. Would suck to miss out on a really good year because the WR situation is so bad. One week left to make some kind of trade.

I look at what Smith did with Tyreke Hill and wonder what he could do with Desean Jackson. Get the man some weapons.

Yeah an Adam Thielen would be nice. I guess my question though is: week 8, what options are there really to get?

Still think they should look at Dez Bryant as a short term help.
