You'd have to grade it as an excellent draft when it looks like everyone selected could make the roster

we all know that there are many holes to fill but I don't recall a draft in recent times that every player drafted has a really good shot at staying

we had all heard that this was a very deep draft talent wise but you still have to give a lot of credit to the guys that made the picks

now we have a better QB and what looks like a better roster - time to shine baby
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

It looks like a lot of teams had strong drafts but ours does look like one of the better, as long as some of the risk pans out in our favour

I'd say A- or B+

I would say A if we had picked a starting guard in 3rd, and not a Tackle. I know, maybe there wasn't one at that pick but we never got a guard.

Even though I hear the Tackle has potential if he can get bigger and stronger. Has good feet. Could we get really lucky and he backs up Moses and Trent for 2 years, then moves into the LT job?

The only positions right now I think we need to get next year in the draft are:

TE -- I'm not convinced Reed can stay healthy and Davis is in his 30's. TE's are really important to control the middle of the field.
LG -- Ty N might be a great guy in 2018, not sure he's the long term solution.
OLB -- If Preston Smith wants a ton of money, we might have to let him walk and replace him. He's been good, not great. Not sure Anderson will ever be good enough to be a starter. I hope so, but he didn't show it last year.
WR -- Depending on Josh Doctson... Was glad to see we got Trey Quinn as I can see Crowder wanting a lot of money after his contract expires in 18. Landry got 14 (or 16?) per year from Browns.
Crowder might ask for 8-9-10 per, he is not worth that.

We should get at least one 3rd round comp pick...

IF all of these picks make the roster it's a great draft - it takes years to to really quantify a draft

there will still be many areas of need next draft - it will take time but HOPEFULLY the rebuild will continue to add good players

btw - way too early to say that Anderson will not become a starter - this guy can play and he's a leader

Agree with SJ that it will take a while to really grade the draft. At least on strategy I give them high marks for:

1) Safe, solid, low risk pick at #13 with Payne. We're not a team that can afford a bust with the first round pick.
2) Trading down, landing Guice AND picking up that third round pick. Don't know if it was just dumb luck, but they rolled the dice and came up big on that one.
3) Getting Settle in the 5th round. Its crazy with these draft picks and guys getting healthy, they've really invested in the DL and could be really good.

Anyone else think its all about Guice though at the end of the day? If he lights it up this season, people will be calling this a GENIUS draft. If he ends up being a problem or a head case or something, its going to be another Redskins fail for people to laugh about.

I think Guice will be fine, once he's in the locker room, surrounded by pros' they'll impress on him that play time is over, this is for real and they are counting on him. He's got the talent.

The draft looks great on paper and it's hard not to see a bunch of these guys make the roster

RBs can make an impact earlier than other positions and if Guice plays well this season, this draft will look fantastic in a few years

No doubt, and Doug Williams seems to have a lot of faith in him. Just think how people view this draft is mainly going to come down to how well Guice does this year.

I like the pick though, and like that he wants to be Marshawn Lynch 2.0!

Wasnt too bad.
I like the 1st and 2nd round picks. Don't know much about the rest. I'm glad we didn't make any outlandish trades and last years haul was decent. All in all not bad.
