Cousins' Contract

Post by oj »

When is it they have to finalize a contract with Kirk? This week isn't it? Any news on that?

I thought the "due date" was 7/15
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Yes, 7/15, a date that will live in infamy if Snyder fails to close.

HA! not really - the day that will live in infamy (after Dec. 7th) is the day Dan Snyder became the owner of the Redskins

the Redskins are not going anywhere with or without Cousins at QB while Dan Snyder is involved with decisions affecting the product on the field

Hey! I've got an idea! Someone start a thread on Cousins' contract! There aren't nearly enough of them already!

Also, if anyone hears anything, keep it a secret from that oj ...

seems like there may be a few others that think that Cousins $ value is more than a little bit out of sync

Prisco is known to be pretty much an ass but in this case I agree with him.

That shipped has sailed, my friend. Cherish these last few moments with KC because he's gone by next year.

Or, if our team is semi-intelligent, try to trade him now that he still holds some value.

We've already seen this script. It doesn't end well for the fans.

Snyder didn't close a LTD with Cousins but it locked up Pepsi so the winning off the field continues...

You know how that conversation went.

Snyder: "So, we're going to lose Cousins for nothing?"
Allen: "Nothing. Not even a bag of chips."
Snyder: "I can fix that!"

when the Colts lost Manning and tanked, they got the first pick and added Luck - with these bozos in charge and making the decisions on who plays and coaches here, having a high pick, even in a QB rich draft, will still mean nothing because they don't have a clue

This may be an insane thought... but has anyone considered starting a thread on Cousins contract?

Here's the thing. He might would have been the highest paid QB, but wouldn't have been for long. Staffers, Ryan( I think) and others are coming due, and would match or surpass his deal. In a year or two, he might not have been top 8 in pay.

Occurs to me that anybody slick enough to spam a site like this is slick enough to pull critical information from your computer if you actually followed any of his links.

Certainly true... I understand the frustration of seeing this crap fishing for the naïve, and I get the impulse to respond to them...

I have spent hours cleaning house... so...

It's also true that posting anything in a forum after these asshats do, it makes it that much harder for me to find the trash the asshats left, so I can get rid of it.
