What the actual *f$ck*? Did you even see the video? The woman hit him first. All he did was defend himself.

Cleveland got a 1st round draft pick in the 6th round because there's some stupid double standard about how men aren't allowed to defend themselves from women.

If she had put her hands on me I'd have knocked her ass unconscious, too.
We still spent a pick on Sprinkle, who was suspended for shoplifting. Good character seems to be optional now.

good for you - takes a man to hit a woman and it takes a real man to say he would knock a woman unconscious for "putting her hands on me"
reports are that Cleveland is not even sure they're going to keep him
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Brantley told police at the time the woman, who is 5-foot-6, 120 pounds, had been the aggressor and struck him. This led the 6-foot-3, 300-pound Brantley to push the woman away from him. The complaint states the woman did shove Brantley after he made “crude comments” to her. But he then allegedly punched her in the face and caused her to lose a tooth that will require a root canal to repair.
I'm sure Brantley feared for his life

I was listening to Gruden on the radio this morning. I don't think it was that they knew to stand pat for Allen, but that they saw three or four highly rated players were going to be there at 17. He mentioned Reuben Foster and OJ Howard.

Its hard to read that one, I agree. Its hard for me to believe that they would be willing to roll with McCoy as THE guy. It would be great if they could develop Sudfeld, but also seems really hard to believe that this 6th round pick is our QB of the future. I don't know. Still really frustrated that this position is still so unsettled.

Man, eight years in the 3-4 and still don't have that. Honestly though, how many of those guys are there in the league? Seems like a really tough position to find that one guy who fits the bill.

I'll just say looking at this draft I'm really happy with those first two picks in particular. Probably could have added two Alabama defensive players early in last year's draft, and I think we'd be feeling differently about our defense right now.

There weren't any head scratching picks. No reaching. I thought a couple weeks ago that the team really needed to show competence in this draft, not the flashy dumb moves. We'll see how these guys pan out, but I'm very happy with the players added.

Seems like Samaje Perine in particular has a big opportunity, yeah?

No doubt man. If no Allen or Foster on the board then, I think we may very well have drafted a TE right there.

I hope to God this is a joke. If it's not, you are just a straight up douchebag and the biggest idiot on this board.

Brantley is 300 pds; the woman was 120. That is like a 50 pound six year old coming up to me and punching me in the arm and chest ---- and I proceed to full-force clock the kid in the face.

Yeah ---- self defense..... If you don't think someone has the capacity to do serious bodily harm to you, it's not self defense.

Grade: B+

Not trying to be a homer with that grade either. I would have given us a C last April, was really disappointed by that draft at the time.

I'm not sure enough about the picks in 5 through 7 to give the team an A. Feels close though.

A-

They made one pick that left me scratching my head, and only because I thought they could have drafted the player in a later round.

So, if someone puts their hands on you first, which is simple assault, you are not allowed to defend yourself because you're bigger?

All he did was push her away. She walked out without help minutes later. This is all on video.

If you think being on the equality train makes me a douchebag, so be it. She could have not touched him. She chose to push him. She got what she deserved. Pushed back.

If he had actually punched her she'd probably be dead.

There are not many people on this earth that dislike the "politically correct" movement more than me. But saying that a man's counter-assault on a woman is form of "equality" is just idiotic nonsense. To the point I am in disbelief of how dumb you sound. If that's the case, why is Brantley the one being charged? The woman had to get work done on her face/mouth after the altercation. People who get knocked the f#$% out eventually end up getting up...... minutes later. And a push or punch from a 300 NFL DT is not the same as arm slaps by a 120 pound woman. Equal force was not used. Do you not understand that simple concept? Equal force or non-equal force (in this case) are part of our justice system and used when determining whether a crime was committed.

Speaking of simple concepts --- women and men are made differently and are not "equal" from a physical perspective. If you think that and think they should be treated similarly from a physical perspective, you are truly as dumb as you sound. Men are stronger, faster, bigger, etc. In order to understand equality, you have to understand the physical differences between men and women first. If you truly were on or understood what the "equality train" is, then you'd understand that women's equality has to do with RESPECT --- not any of the other BS you're trying to infer.

Larger men also need to understand their own strength. "All he did was push her away" --- anyone who says that under the circumstances must weigh less than 200 lbs. If you were a bigger guy, you'd understand that a simple push to someone who's 120 would put them straight on the floor and almost certainly cause significant damage.

And I agree with you that she should have never touched him --- but that is not the issue. The issue is that a 300 lb NFL DT decided to assault a 120 lb woman. The conditions precedent are irrelevant. He knows what he could do to her physically. He didn't need to prove it. Only an abusive and mentally incapable person would.

And your "She got what she deserved." comment is also very telling. You sound like some dude that raped a chick because her mini-skirt was too high and she had too much to drink. You should give Brock Turner a call and hang out --- he's out of jail.

Sorry my man, you sound like a fool. Straight up. 31 other NFL teams agree with me.
RIP Sean Taylor. You will be missed.

With respect to the actual subject: I give the draft a B.

I think Allen is a decent player (although he did nothing in the national champ game) and I liked the Anderson pick, but the later round picks I thought left much to be desired. The UCLA DB/CB was a decent pick and can't really argue with it, but with my man Foreman on the board, I would have gone that route.

I thought rounds 4-7 were bi-products of our FO discord. Rounds 3-6 are perhaps the most important of the draft and I don't think we did as much as we could have. I don't think we got anyone of value after the 3rd. Rounds 1-3 are the easy rounds.
RIP Sean Taylor. You will be missed.

I don't know, man. I would think 4th round pick Samaje Perine will have a decent shot to earn the starting RB job. Sprinkle and Roullier were both pretty solid picks too IMO. Probably not guys who help you this year, but the kind of picks you need building for the future.

Montae Nicholson is the one dicey pick. They clearly took a guy with impressive measurables who I've heard doesn't have the game tape to match. Going to be on the coaches to make that pick pay off. We'll see.

I'll put it like this my brother... I stopped watching the draft the year we got RG3.

At the end of the day, I just root for whoever's on the team when week 1 arrives.

However, I LOVE to hear what my fellow Skins fan think about the draft though because you guys actually go deep into it and research it.. I guess my brothers and sisters in THN are my "Draft Cliff-Notes" so to speak. LOL! That's why I asked for your grades and so far judging by everyone's reactions I'm excited to see these young men on the field.

FWIW, it's been reported the Skins were looking at drafting CJ Beathard in the 4th round but San Francisco took him in the 3rd.

All you need to know is this, Langley... our defense just got a whole lot better, talent-wise. Allen demands extra attention no matter where he lines up, as he can get penetration anywhere. Linebackers be loving it. I wish we could have come out with a space eating NT, but good NT's are hard to find.
