Qb's

Post by John Manfreda »

I saw at the end of the game that Brunell was smiling and I guarente you that this was going through his mind. Even thought I looked like crap Patrick did also. So I am happy that I am the starter.

That's exactly it. Brunnel did not play great. But he out played Ramsey, I like Ramsey but he needs to sit for a year, or so, learn from Brunnell. and eventually become our QB when he is ready.

Ramsey is just trying too hard. Thats his biggest problem. He had two passes had he not overthrown them he would have looked like a star. In particular the audible that would have led to a TD.

Glad to see that our QB picture is a lot more clear now. The pressure to start is off Ramsey; he needs to focus now on being prepared to come in and lead the team in the unfortunate event that Brunell cannot play. Otherwise, Hassy may outplay him for the #2 spot.

I doubt very much that Brunell was smiling because Ramsey played poorly or because he thought the job was his. Brunell is a professional and I doutbt he would wallow in Ramsey's misfortunes.

Brunell is winning the starting job plain and simple. A good ol' fashioned QB competition will be best for the team overall.
Sit back and watch the Redskins.

SOMETHING MAGICAL IS ABOUT TO BEGIN!

Chad Pennington! It worked for him!!! The way the Colts brought Peyton Manning up worked too (obviously), but Manning made ALOT of mistakes his first couple of years. Both are great now, but when Pennington finally came in he made alot less mistakes! Ramsey needs to be benched a season! Even Tom Brady sat on the bench a year, it's not a big deal. Ha will end up being a better QB if he sits and watches a "Pro" play for a year or so. He hasn't had that yet, unless anyone considers Shane Matthews & Danny Wuerful "Pros", LOL!

Brunell has been seen smiling even after ugly losses, which irritated a lot of Jags fans. I think Mark is able to leave the game on the field. I don't believe it is because he doesn't care, it's just something he can do. I think he should understand the perception it leaves with fans though.
