Pryor signed to 1 year.

Post by tribeofjudah »

Should we make new threads or merge them into 1? I only see the "rumors" one, but these are for real.
Pryor inks one-year, $8M deal with Redskins
Redskins signed Terrelle Pryor, formerly of the Browns, to a one-year, $8 million contract.
Things have not been going great in Washington, but this is a good signing for an offense which lost a lot of receiving talent early in free agency. Pryor and Josh Doctson, assuming he is healthy, give Washington a dynamic pair of outside receivers while Jordan Reed and Jamison Crowder are dangerous weapons inside. As long as Kirk Cousins sticks around, Washington's offense should continue to hum in 2017. As for Pryor, he will undoubtedly be looking for a monster year playing on a prove-it contract, and Washington has the target opportunity to make that happen, although there are plenty of mouths to feed when everyone is healthy. Still, Pryor has high-end WR2 upside.

It would not surprise me one bit if these bozos brought back RG3 as well - GAG ME NOW
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

This is a bright light in a bleak week, I'm surprised he has signed into what must look like a dysfunctional organization. I'd say we are very lucky and appreciate his joining us.

I was thinking a similar thing lol.

1 year deal on a qb decision for a rental or McCoy starting. This signing is a little uplifting. But it's nothing exciting bc it's another rental.

Glad we landed him, but what an odd deal.

this reporter is dreaming - let's be real - there is V little chance of Kirk Cousins playing here this season

OK, there's a slight chance but these bozos want him gone and Cousins wants out badly

I'm with it!!! Was actually talking about his pros over djax.. put up a 4.32 is much taller and has about 50#s on djack . Younger cheaper... healthier.

Careless who is pulling the strings, I wanted this signing and glad we didn't let him out of the building!

gotta like the enthusiasm but if you think that coaches and players with zero accountability will make any difference you are in for a surprise

players playing for a contract and not for each other is a disaster - and it will show in the product on the field

I'm not going to keep this up but I am going to 'enjoy' watching these 2 bozos "sell" this to the fans and media

these past 2 seasons mean't nothing - what a waste of time

As long as Bruce Allen and Dan Snyder are in charge and making decisions, I'm for everything and anything that hurts what they do

I love that Pryor signed for just 1 year - I hope that he has a really great year, then tells these bozos he wants to get paid, BIG TIME :D

Signing Prior is a positive.

Prior is basically Jackson and Garcon rolled into one player. He's also under 30 years old.

Kirk if he is staying will need Prior.

Pryor doesn't need anyone! Did you see the guys who were throwing him the ball last season? Colt would be an upgrade!

He's just getting adjusted to the position after being a qb all of his life. He's big, talented, and a lot of raw talent with much room for improvement on the fundamentals. He'll be ok. Hopefully he does well and resigns

It's being reported the Redskins tried to re-sign Desean Jackson, and just missed on the guaranteed money. Pryor was a fallback option.

I actually like the signing but we should not have lost out on both Garcon and Jackson
AND
I'm sure that Pryor only signed for 1 year because of the current situation here
PLUS
I also think that the current situation contributed to losing both Garcon and Jackson

I'm OK with the Pryor signing. I just wish they would stop placing so much on Doctson being healthy. Get another receiver, just in case.

Doctson's health is Scot's problem not Bruce's
