Sounds like Garcon is on his way to SF.

When Pierre Garcon finalizes deal with 49ers, as expected, league sources believe he will make $16 million in first year.

I hate to see Garcon leave, he didn't leave anything on the field. I wish him well, he'll be missed.

That's ignorant money to give a #2 receiver. There isn't a receiver in the league making $16MM and the ones that are close to it (Brown, Jones, Fitzgerald, Green) are a lot better than Pierre Garcon.

Does that include the signing bonus? He's a decent WR, but for that kind of $$$$ --- you can have him. He's got 3 years left max. If Doctson is ready, it was smart to let him walk. I'd pay $8-10M for Jackson though --- but the deal couldn't be for more than 3 years and cap friendly.
RIP Sean Taylor. You will be missed.

Don't be hatin'............... let him get what he can. Good luck Pierre. You were a good player.

Good luck Pierre? Why? Why would you wish him luck on another team? How does that benefit us in any way?

Well, I wish him no injuries for the rest of his career.. that's the humane thing. However I hope him and the 49er's the worse.

Next, Kyle will strike a deal for Cousins and the 49ers rebuilding era begins. (I would hate to see Cousins go) but damn the Danny is such a jerk.

And why didn't we make a play for Barry Church... (even tho he's an ex cowpuke)
Report: Barry Church joins Jags on 4-yr deal
Jaguars agreed to terms with SS Barry Church on a four-year contract.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the deal is worth "more than $6 million per year." The second best safety on the market, Church reportedly received interest from a "number of teams" before landing in Jacksonville. He will replace Johnathan Cyprien as the starter next to Tashaun Gipson.

They've signed Hoyer to a two year deal. That doesn't completely take Kirk off the table, but I'd say that makes a trade this year with SF a bit less likely. They can definitely afford to play Hoyer for a year and wait for Cousins to become available next year if they like.

"per sources"
Cowboys DT Terrell McClain expected to sign with Washington Redskins. 4 year $21M ...
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I don't understand why the Browns don't just pay that guy. They have tons of cap space - more than they can even use - and like thirty draft picks in the next two drafts.

Yea, that would have been my first choice.

What's wrong with Pryor? Three years younger than DJax or Garcon, and god only knows how he put up 1000 yards in that Browns offense last year.

It wouldn't have surprised me for McCloughan to go after that guy, so I'm not feeling critical about it now.

I'm not suggesting anything is necessarily wrong with Pryor but there were better options if the Redskins gave a damn.

I'm also in the "Josh Doctson will never be what he was drafted to be" camp. Whatever they're selling on Doctson I'm not buying it.

Unless the plan is to sign a proven back and change the entire offense I'm not sure what they are doing here.

Not sure I agree with that, but OK.

Anything is possible, but not really sure how anyone can have an opinion on Doctson yet. That guy needs to show he can get healthy first.

Down for these last two signings!!

Terrell Pryor looked fantastic last year... bigger and faster then Garçon... tracking skills like DJax and nearly as fast... in fact maybe as fast or faster

I posted this last year when the who do we replace Jax with topic came up.. TP ran a 4.38 to DJax 4.35, reported that TP ran a 4.32 in his first heat to!!!. He is younger PLUS at 6'4" and 223 CD 5'10" and a generous 175. TP is a better overall receiver instead of a one trick pony. Having only played one year at wideout, I'm convinced the sky is the limit!! Oh, and he's 3 years younger with MUCH less injuries fwiw

DJ + Norman... equals fierce competitors in the backfield... if we can avoid the damn flags we might be forming our own type of legion back there! I'm with it!
