Robert Griffin III

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

He's good enough to play QB in the league, he just hasn't exercised the regard for safety necessary to do it.

Now his time in Cleveland is probably over, and it's too bad that his ego wouldn't let him take a backup position on a better team. Cleveland was probably the worst choice he could have made. He proved in Washington that he can play QB in the NFL. But he's also proven that his ego and desire to be tough and forego situational awareness might be his undoing.

I agree 100% on these points Dot, except that he's good enough to play QB in the NFL good post

According to ESPN.com, RG3 will be the team's starting quarterback when the Browns play host to the Bengals on Sunday.

Hue is NOT doing this because he thinks that RG3 can help him win a game - the Browns need to find out if he can play QB

Hue needs to know if RG3 can be a part of this hopeless franchise next season
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

The Browns won there 1st game. It's no coincidence that Robert was the starting Qb.

Actually I think that's exactly what it was - a coincidence.

Griffin seemed to do well today, at least from what I could tell reading the stats and following "gameday" on NFL.com. Griffin drove the Browns to a FG to open the OT period. Browns defense could not stop Steelers when Pittsburgh got their chance with the ball.

Four years ago, Shanahan should have had Griffin holding the clip-board. Played Cousins instead. Let Griffin learn the NFL QB position. (Consider Rypien and Humphries)

some of us are not sure about what might have been with this kid but those with any understanding of the game and the value of the QB position, do know that Mike Shanahan should have done things differently with both RG3 and Cousins

This guy just doesn't get it...this from a QB who was sacked 22 times in 147 attemps!

Sigh. When this guy was coming out of college, he was doing and saying all the right things. Seemed like he had his head on straight. I guess it just seemed like that so long as he kept on winning and things were going his way. He's made some delusional comments in the past few seasons.

Geez Loueez....

I wish RG3 the best but he's a Brown now. Let's move on...

I wanted Lavar Arrington back then.. Probably the only thing I got mad at Gibbs about..

I'll take a stud Rb in the draft. Leonard Fournette or Dalvin Cook please!

I'd love to get a really good RB - the only way we add a stud RB in the draft is if he is the best player available at 17

we need to just keep adding good young players - this is the key to success

FWIW - this is the result of the infamous trade with the St Louis Rams in 2012
from @Gil_Brandt
Players drafted by Rams with picks acquired in RG3 trade:

Michael Brockers (w/ Rams)
Janoris Jenkins (w/ Giants)
Isaiah Pead (out of NFL)
Rokevious Watkins (out of NFL)
Alec Ogletree (traded to NYG)
Stedman Bailey (out of NFL)
Zac Stacy (traded to NYJ)
Greg Robinson (w/ Lions)
the incredible Michael Brockers is the only player still with the team
