The educated guesser would say yes...it is more beneficial to rest guys, however that is not going
to happen Dallas wants full momentum going into the playoffs
That is why? they aren't going to rest anyone see second quoted post responseNYFINESTSKINSFAN wrote:IMO, three weeks of rest is a bad idea and could hinder your mojo going into the playoffs with losses.

The above however doesn't bar the fact that Detroit tonight is fighting for their playoff lives,
and that the Lions have a real chance at winning, Not b/c Dallas threw the game to screw
you over!! but b/c they need this game more than the Cowboys

Three weeks of rest means four weeks between games. No team is going to do that. Look for the Pies starters to play at least a half, then Romo and the rest will take over.NYFINESTSKINSFAN wrote:is it more beneficial to rest players than to risk injury? In the beginning yes the defense looked terrible, as the game progressed along?NYFINESTSKINSFAN wrote:Dallas's defense looks worse than the Skins D.

Well, EVERYTHING broke our way this week. We won, and TB & DET both lost. Now, we win and we're in (unless GB-DET ends in a tie).

Who else is half expecting GB-DET to end it a tie after we (presumably) win against the Giants?

If GB and Detroit ends in a tie, are they both in the playoffs? That could result in some collusion.

Yes, but I doubt they would collude, being as they are divisional rivals. That would be akin to us colluding with the Ginas for us to win so we both make the playoffs.Hooligan wrote:If GB and Detroit ends in a tie, are they both in the playoffs? That could result in some collusion.

Detroit can still get the 2nd seed with a win, an ATL loss, and a SEA loss or tie.DarthMonk wrote:I believe they are playing for a division title and a home playoff game.Deadskins wrote:Yes, but I doubt they would collude, being as they are divisional rivals. Even TB can still make the playoffs if:

- TB wins
- WAS ties
- GB loses
- TEN, IND, DAL, and SF all win

Kinda asking for a miracle that won't happen if you ask me...Need to beat a red hot GB team,
then need Atlanta and Seattle to lose, they'll be lucky to be the 6th seed when it's all said an

Re: NFC playoffs
Thought this was a really bizarre fact from Tandler yesterday. I've been doing a lot of complaining about the state of the defense but:
Five of the top six teams in total defense will miss the playoffs.
If the #Redskins make the playoffs, five of the bottom 10 teams in the NFL in total defense will be playing on: WAS, MIA, OAK, KC, ATL
Weird, huh? Guess if your defense sucks, you'd better have a s*** hot offense.

we are lucky that we have a REALLY s*** hot offense, led by a QB that at least 1 fan thinks is THE BEST REDSKIN IN DECADESriggofan wrote:Thought this was a really bizarre fact from Tandler yesterday. our defense has been a major disappointment but this will be taken care of soon - 2 years ago we all felt our O line was a disaster, now it's a strength - we are very lucky to be where we are - hopefully, win or lose on Sunday, the idiot owner keeps all these guys here
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Maybe. The thing about the o-line though is that we invested in fixing it through the draft the past couple years. I don't have a lot of hope for any immediate relief on the defense.SkinsJock wrote:our defense has been a major disappointment but this will be taken care of soon - 2 years ago we all felt our O line was a disaster, now it's a strength - we are very lucky to be where we are - hopefully, win or lose on Sunday, the idiot owner keeps all these guys here
Agree with you though that we're lucky to be where we are right now. These guys have done more with the team over the past three years more quickly than I thought was possible.

Re: NFC playoffs
2014 was horrendous - the past 2 seasons have seen a huge upgrade with our O line
the same can happen on defense with just a few player additions under the same DC
