I am not going to go as far as you here, but I agree that I am at least confused by fans that don't want to resign him or those that say "well, we can't because we have to resign DJack and/or Garcon and DEF" --- which to me makes absolutely no sense. QB is priority #1 for EVERY FRANCHISE. We now have what looks like a franchise QB for the first time in 30 years.OldSchool wrote:Kirk, the best Redskin in decades, bagged another and a marched closer to breaking the franchise all time passing record. He should break the record next game and if he does he will be breaking the all time record he set last season, his first season starting. Two record years in a row and in his first two seasons. Just imagine what he'll accomplish over the nxt 10 years!
As Skins fans we are accustom to other teams having successful franchise QBs and hopelessly pining for one. Now we have one of the brightest stars in the league and many fans are in a state of confused disbelief. I get it you didn't expect it to really finally happen and certainly not with Kirk the other one was cast to be the one and he broke your hearts so you don't want to hope again but it is time to believe your eyes and let go of your doubts and fears Kirk's the one. The best Skin in decades whether you comprehend it or not.
I feel like the people that don't want to resign him for a $100M deal are similar to the types that self-sabotage romantic relationships. Why wouldn't you want to resign a QB that is 3rd in passing, 5th in QBR, 9th in TDs, 11th in INT %, 3rd in ypa, 3rd in 4Q comebacks & 4th in game winning drives? And why would you prefer to sign 2 31 year-old WRs instead of a franchise player at the most important position in the game? This is the kind of stuff that I shake my head upon reading.
