^^ we have an offense that can move the ball down the field with no issue but we cannot manage to score TDs because it's a lot easier to defend inside the Red Zone - that's BS -

I agree it's math - we have more playmakers than they have defenders - it doesn't matter about how much field they are defending

I don't know why you're arguing this stupid point. Its like arguing that its not harder to see at night than it is during the day.

Yes, it is harder to move the ball in the red zone because of the smaller space. And YES play calling seems to be an issue in the red zone. Weirdly enough, both of these things can be true at the same time.

I agree that there's less area to cover, but ... when you have more high quality playmakers than the defenders can cover, it comes down to play calling or play selection and not the amount of space to cover

there have been many times this season, in the Red Zone when we've had better personnel and we have not taken advantage

AND - I'm not arguing the point - I agree that there's less space to defend but the play calling has sucked is the main reason

Jordan Reed is almost impossible to defend and we're trying a stupid fade route - give me a break
if they double cover Reed then someone else is open

I hate it when teams try to get too "cute". Especially near the red zone. Seattle lost a SuperBowl electing to pass rather then hand off to arguably the best playoff Rb at the time.

Our team averages 4.5 yards a carry. 24 carries 111 yards a game.
Simple math at 4.5 a carry. Three straight runs equals 12 yards two yards more than 10. So 20 yards are needed. You run it 6 out of 8 plays averaging 4.5 yards a run you still come out with a Td.

Dallas averages 34 carries a game most of goes to Elliot. We need to add 10 carries a game. Mainly to dominate time of possession. We can tire out the opposing defense and demoralize them.

I take your point, but we're already dominating time of possession. Seems like with the running game, there is the opportunity to tire the defense out and also beat them down. That's one thing I like about the way Rob Kelley runs.

If we are dominating time of possession averaging 20 to 25 carries a game yet still averaging 4.5 yards a carry why would you not continue to run?Keep the foot on the gas pedal.

Just outside of the red zone is when you take a shot thru the air. Once inside well designed quick decision runs should be choice.

Rob Kelly has done a good job I think. Heck all our Rbs average around 4 yards a carry. Kelly, Thompson and if it weren't for the fumbles Matt Jones was ideal in the red zone.

When we start hitting our weapons in the redzone we can get a notch to the next level and start hitting in the mid 30s and 40s occasionally (Titans doing it with less talent) We have the talent to do so. I just think the problem is Kirk is hesistant at this point of time and afraid of the bad turnover. Once we get a few comfortable games above a losing record (better than 5-3) than I think he will be more confident and less worried about the turnover and gun it in more.

I also feel at times the positioning we be within the redzone kinda dictates pass most of the time so I think teams are playing more of a pass defensive scheme. Just my feel not sure if this true or not but if we are at the 10 yard line, most teams are not going to run it in.

Our playmakers are generally better - we should be doing better in the Red Zone
