That...and the fact that the people in the obstructed seats had an even higher priority to upgrade if seats became available - Even over others in the lower bowl. Every person I've spoke with who has seats in this new section has been told the same thing. So I don't think it was just the case of one ticket agent stating misleading information to numerous people. Then again, maybe it is.

Hey mdl70, as noted earlier, I haven't seen my seats yet and won't until the opener.

But, after reading the post article this am, I called the ticket office in a panic. I was told that while they can't move anyone this year, they will honor requests to move next year to seats no worse than what I had previously.

My take is that a happy customer is good for business. Don't sell tickets to seats you wouldn't want to sit in yourself - That's directed straight to Danny Boy. :moon:

I think those additional seats were a bad idea in the 1st place. He's doing a bit too much, I understand he wants to milk this cow but at what cost?

It's certainly looking like that. This really affects more than 'Skins ticket holders. What about the concerts at FedEx. Or even the VA Tech game this weekend. I'm not sure if they sold these seats for the game on Saturday or not. If they did and I bought one and found myself behind one of those columns, I'd be pretty ticked.

I couldn't imagine seeing a concert at FedEx Feild from some of those seats. Maybe they won't sell them for special events. Whether or not they do is anyone's guess.

Just a heads up on an update.

The Redskins contacted my dad and he went out to FedEx Field to meet with them. They showed him three areas in the new 200 level that had available seats.

The seats aren't perfect, but they are better than what we had this morning. We're now one section to the left and two rows down (Sec. 229, row 18). The only part of the field we will lose is a portion of the near endzone from the goalpost to the left corner. He and I will take that over losing half the field any day.

Like I said, they aren't perfect, but it's better than watching an entire game behind a concrete wall.

Why would they even put seats in places the obstruct a view like that?

The seats you just got are ok, I'd take those too. But sitting behind a pillar is ridiculous. There shouldn't have been a seat there in the 1st place, even IF someone would want it, as an owner I wouldn't want to have seats that horrible in my stadium. It just reeks of greed.

And think of the view from a couple rows closer to the pilar! Those people won't even have a good view of those tiny tvs!

Your right Chris placing seats behind the post is terrible.
Ya know what they should do, give the crappy seats to the Washington "Post" to give out to fans from other teams. Then give the Post's oridginal seats to the Redskin fans.

I'm glad the Redskins gave you better seats!!!!!!! I don't know why they sat you in those crappy seats in the first place. Hopefully they will take those seats behind the pillar out. Noone should have to sit there.

I would be willing to guess that some one will be sitting in those seats on the 12th.

Hmmm...just noticed that the row turned into a "1" and not the "18" that it should have been. I guess the number 8 and a ) next to each other make a smiley.

And yes, I'm sure the seats we moved from will be filled. We're only a section over so we will definately be able to check.

It's unfortunate that by the Redskins moving us, they will probably get some other customer in there staring at concrete for the duration of the game.

I hope not. I've been posting the seat location on a couple message boards in hopes nobody will get stuck with that view (unless they are an Eagles or Cowboys fan). :)

Maybe we should go on their boards and promote the seats as "best in the house" for fans of those clubs.

I would rather have no Cowboy/Eagles fans in the stadium...why would you promote them to come to the game..even if they were bad seats.

People that own season tickets need to do 2 things.

1. Decide if they are a fan or not, if not give up the season tickets for another worthy fan to use.

2. DO NOT GIVE TICKETS TO NON-SKIN FANS...with all of the history with this team and the fans a season ticket holder should know better....what a disgrace to all of those people that have handed the tickets down their family and raised their kids to be Skins fans...and it is a slap in the face to all of the people waiting years and years just to get a nosebleed seat.

I can at least speak for our seats and they have never been used by an oposing team's fan ever. Now only if the other 90,000 ticket holders would comply....

Lighten up Barney, it was only a joke. I wouldn't let a 'Pie fan in our house if I could help it.
