Re: Redskins @ G-strings postgame
I'm surprised we haven't heard anything about this, and I brought up the subject in the game day thread at the time, but I believe the refs cheated us out of a time out at the end of the first half. Cousins threw a ball to Jackson which was incomplete, stopping the clock. Jackson was hurt, and the refs took one of our timeouts away so that he could be attended to. Unless I'm wrong, the timeout only should have been taken if they had to stop the clock or we wanted Jackson to stay in the game. Since the pass was incomplete, no TO should have been burned. Then on the throw to the six, we call TO, still have one left, it's first down, and there are 20 seconds on the clock.

I think there's a rule that says it costs a team a timeout if a player is injured with 2:00 or less on the clock. It's to keep players from faking injuries to slow the speed of the game.

Lastly with regards to Joe Barry, it was told to me this weekend that Jay Gruden was out having drinks when Joe Barry was hired and Jay was not in the decision to hire Barry and that he didn't want him to be hired. I find this to be a very telling statement and this has Bruce Allen written all over it. He is another boob that still get's money based on who is father was. In regards to again a common sense approach when there are rumblings in the locker room and one of the nicest most respected leaders on your defense goes completely out of character and cusses the DC out, that pretty much tells me that these guys don't like him, don't have respect for him and is just awaiting a seemingly soon to be done thing in the firing of Barry. It's not like Perry Fewell could do any worse than Barry.
If Gruden was not involved in hiring Barry, then Gruden should have been fired already and will be fired at the end of the season. A head coach chooses his staff. Gibbs chose Petibon and Norv chose whoever -- not great -- replaced Petibon.
I the ink Redskins need to run the ball much more often. Closer to 50 / 50.

I don't understand your logic. Gruden should be fired because he wasn't allowed to hire his own DC? Sounds to me like Bruce Allen should be fired if that was the case.
Either way, I have never heard anything remotely like that story. I kinda doubt that particular goofball on this message board has secret inside information the rest of the world is completely unaware of.

Goofball? LOL okay you keep thinking like that, you have no clue, who I am or who I am friends with so that comment shows the reason why Snyder continues to place a putrid product on the field and laugh all the way to the bank all the while smart Joe's like yourself know everything.

I will give you a free bit of education, how it typically works is the owner hires the GM who hires the Head Coach who assembles his coaching staff. Daniel Snyder has never followed that path. Since you seem unable to have cognitive thought patterns let me teach you. Dan and Bruce hired Gruden, Jim Haslett was the DC left over from Shanny's time here. He was fired and the new DC coaching search began. Gruden had 0 say so in the hiring. Do yourself a favor learn things before you post, you might come off a tad less of a newb.

Notice how Scot didn't pick Gruden or Cousins either and that is what just about every GM do they pick their own guys, they don't normally accept the status quo, however Scott had less leverage with his alcohol issues. But let me guess that never came into your equation either did it??

He's starting to become the new Dan Snyder to me - or at least the new Vinny. Kind of can't stand him. And whether or not he hand picked Barry himself, I still don't entirely believe he's hands off the team the way he should be.

Man, I'm glad we all just got a free lesson in getting "educated"......

FWIW --- I am pretty sure that an agreement was made regarding Gruden PRIOR to Scot signing the dotted line. I also believe that a discussion on Cousins was undertaken (in at least he'd be the guy this year and see how it goes from there --- which is exactly how it SHOULD have gone). I only say that because anyone with half a brain would have done that prior to accepting a position as GM. At the time, Gruden was just finishing his first of a 5 year deal. He wasn't going anywhere. But I agree that Snyder has always done things @ss backwards. You are new to this forum, but I am one of the most outspoken anti-Snyder posters on the board.
Lastly ---- this is the f#$%ing internet. Who you may know or who you are lying about you may know is irrelevant. Hey, maybe I know a couple guys (or nearly a dozen (mostly) past and present) in the NFL because I played a little college ball, then again, maybe I didn't.

Do you all listen to any of the talk shows on the radio? Does 1067 the fan mean anything? Does Tyler Polumbis, Will Montgomery, Santana Moss? You know EX Redskins. They have been letting quite a few things out regarding the operational side of the Redskins.
Bruce Allen is the new Cerrato. While Bruce may be stronger suited for public affairs types of issues he has no business picking coaches or players. He should stick with Redskin relations with older players as was stated he would start to do.
Scott should be the one with the FINAL say so over roster and or coaching. However we all know Daniel is a lot like Jerry Jones, he feels since he owns the team he can do what he wants and pretty much surrounds himself with YES MEN. As that basically everything I say here is met with ignorance or disbelief I will just say perhaps you all should go do a search for these pod casts and listen for yourself. Danny will never back off and let people do their jobs and as someone that went to high school with him he was a jock sniffing pretender then as he is now, the only difference is he now is a billionaire. This has only made his character flaws worse.

I was under the impression that Allen is our salary cap/contract guru.. and is magical with numbers?

Not sure you understood my post (or really what you write on this site in general). I was not saying that I'm "educating" you because of the college ball thing --- at all. I was merely saying that when you are on the internet, it is pointless to boast about unverifiable things as a means to support a statement/point you are making.
And I got a good

Final hypocrisy statement ---- for a guy that detests Danny boy so much, I find it odd you'd flock to a forum that is owned and controlled by him.... and every time you log on he makes a little $$$ off you.....

Um, first you say we all know this, and then you proceed to say we need to educate ourselves on what we already know. I don't think you are getting any arguments about your stance on how the Danny is running things. Now, when you make comments like the Arena League Offense thing, one has to wonder who is displaying the "ignorance or disbelief."

nobody's making you stay here - bye bye

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
