Seriously I thought he'd at least make it to Week 4. Looks like we'll get Josh McCown instead?

Remember the conversations where some on here said RGIII wasn't injury prone????? #-o

I watched that entire game in hopes of seeing the old RGIII. Deep down, I want him to succeed, but it has gotten to the point where he can't stay healthy for 3 consecutive games without getting put on IR.

Horrible to say, but this could be his last year in the NFL.
RIP Sean Taylor. You will be missed.

And the injury on was totally unnecessary. He still hasn't learned to protect himself, despite signs in the preseason to the contrary. He just can't help himself when he gets in the heat of battle. I suppose it's a good thing. He probably would have pulled a miracle game out of his butt against us. Truth is, I'm more afraid of Josh McCown.

I depends on what you mean by injury prone. If you are going to run into a brick wall over and over, yes, you are going to get injured. But if you would at least go around the wall on occasion, you could probably avoid the injury. The ankle was a total fluke, but the other two (and the concussion) were the consequence of him not staying out of harm's way. #totallystupid

McCown had a good game against us before didn't he? I agree with you about Griffin, though. He would have played the game of his life here somehow.

I saw part of the game and there's no way that team is winning many games, no matter who is the QB

sorry we don't get to see much more of Griffin ...if at all - guy can play QB but it means squat if you're not healthy
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

This is right. RG3s injury shows he it totally fragile. He is playing on Browns but to get hurt the way he did is a unbelievable. Too bad. If he could stay healthy he would Balled.

The Redskins are led by a second stringer and an arena coach. An RG3 rematch would have been much better than watching a check down QB lead us to three fgs in three quarters against an ok team.

Griffin was NEVER going to be an NFL QB. He should be thrilled that Kyle created a gimmick offense that allowed him to get ROY in 2012. He was a great college QB... like Tim Tebow.

He looked fine the 1st half...had drops but was baaaaaaaaad the 2nd half. The kid is fragile. Was pushed in the back and happened to run into a defender who was already out of bounds. Surprised no one had told him to put on around 20lbs after his second season.

Yeah I thought that was a huge mistake for him going to Cleveland. I know he probably wanted a chance to be the starter and prove everyone wrong, but could there have been a worse possible landing place for him this year? He should have taken less money to go be a #2 on a better team. Less pressure, chance to learn the position and better chance to be successful in the long run.

Agreed, not sure he had other options??

I'm sure he had other options. The Browns may have been one of the few where he was competing for the starting job though. A fact which probably should have set off some alarm bells.

+1
Shows a lack of situational awareness off the field as well. :(

Sad to agree on "his last year in the NFL". But then again, Mark Sanchez is still on a roster somewhere....

He's on the IR designated for return list. His season isn't over.

Griffin will be sitting on the other side of the field in a different color track suit but essentially enjoying a great sidleline view of the action at Fed Ex like last year.

Too bad about Griffin. He is so much better than Checkdown Captain Pick but he just can't stay on the field. RG3 if healthy would have beaten Kirk's ass. Kirk cant even beat a 4th round rookie QB playing on a team with a top 5 pick. He can't beat winning teams. We are ruining a pretty talented Redskins team by having a fake franchise QB and paying him 20m a year- Can you believe he wanted a multi-year 20m contract- and a fat Arena Football coach who looks as dumb as anyone Ive ever seen.

#itsobviouswewerentturningthecorner

Get a real QB. Get a real Coach. Stop messing around.

be great to hear your excuses for what happened today --- there's a couple of threads you'll enjoy ...

I'm not going to rub it in but I will look forward to hearing from all the Cousins fans ...

Griffin won't be here week 4 - I wonder if Cousins will find a way to play QB well by then

who would have believed we might be looking for our first win of the season against the Browns ...
