the players know that they are accountable

Hearing Ziggy Hood, not Kedric Golston, will be the starting NT.

If our passing attack is as potent as it can be, teams won't be running as much as passing in an attempt at trying to keep up. The Offense can definitely help the Defense.
My prediction: We stay fairly healthy all year and it shows in the win column. 11-5 and the Division title. Conference Championship Game.

the winning record in the NFC East could very easily be 10-6 ... we could very easily go 8-8 but 9-7 might be enough - this is an AMAZING projection for a franchise that last season was looked at by many fans and media as possibly only winning 4 games
this franchise has turned things around BIG time since 2014 - we no longer look like we have no clue with ZERO management
Hopefully Dan Snyder continues to stay away from having anything to do with the FO decisions or coaching of this franchise

We were the #11 passing offense last year. 13 yards shy of being the #10. Is it really THAT unlikely that we could be a top ten this year?
I'm not even arguing that our offense or our QB is that great. But considering that people don't expect us to be able to run the ball AND we have one of the top two or three tight ends in the league, it won't be surprising at all to see us continue with a ball control, short yardage passing game that makes us a top 10 passing offense.
I agree completely with DM on that one.

I agree, it's not THAT unlikely - I just don't think it's likely to happen - that's why I added the
I will add that it's more likely that our pass defense is top half of the league than that we'll have a top 10 passing offense
I really do hope that Cousins can have a great season - I just don't think it's likely
it's no big deal - I hope we have a top 10 offense and defense in the NFL - I just don't think it's likely

Yeah you've been pretty clear on that point, so I kind of figured that's why you wrote it. Cousins doesn't really have to have a great season though for us to be a top 10 passing offense. New Orleans, Atlanta, Baltimore and NY were all top 10 last year. None of those QBs were especially great last year. They just had to throw the ball a lot.
Not that it means anything at all, but I was reviewing the week 1 fantasy rankings/predictions on thehuddle.com this AM. Want to take a guess who the #1 ranked QB this week is?

I don't think our running game will be as bad as what seems to be the prevailing sentiment around here. With Lauvao back in the lineup, and the emergence of Kelley (I think he might overtake Jones as the starter), we will surprise a lot of folks this year.

oh boy! good for him - hope he has the #1 FF QB ranking all season - that should be a great negotiating tool ...

hah. They were predicting 300 yards, 3 TDs and no INTs for him on Monday night. I mean, I expect Cousins to have a decent season but that seems like kind of an out there projection for a week one game.
ESPN seems a little more realistic. Only 296 yards 2 TDs and an INT.

Me too. Got him in both my leagues.
Funny. For all of the people downplaying him, I saw him going as one of the top two QBs in both leagues I play in - and it wasn't Skins fans buying into him.
Man, if he can do anything close to what he did late last year, it could be a really fun season.

1: Looks good.
2: Not sure how the board feels but the players have his back and we are killing it defensively in 2nd halves. Guys were in the right place constantly last night against the Pack. Someone forgot about Starks once but the defensive schemes and calls were excellent.

3) Sua Cravens will be in the discussion for the DROY award.
The jury is still out on all three of these but all three are still within the realm of possibility.
