Really interesting article. I liked the details about how we got his attention (rush ordering a jersey to be sent to him, Redskins One for the whole family with catering, chefs at Redskins park). You can tell that Snyder is doing whatever he can in his new role as the check-writer. Scot McCloughan is the guy doing the man-to-man talks that players relate to. Our cap and contract guys know how to make things happen when we need it.
Another interesting detail: other teams were offering him more money, and about 16 teams total had expressed interest in signing him.
And one more: McCloughan thinks that Norman is a perfect fit scheme-wise for the defense we run. So we didn't just go out and grab a guy regarded as top talent; there was a judgment about fit involved too.
I'm still kinda leery about this whole thing, but I admit feeling better after reading this.

Re: Josh Norman in D.C.: ‘I Can Have It All Here’
Norman has to virtually be a shutdown corner to justify that salary but he can live up to high expectations.
“He was at that time the smartest player in the league. We did everything we could to try to eliminate him from the play. We knew if we didn’t neutralize him, then we had less of a chance of winning.” - John Hannah on Chris Hanburger

Norman will not be one of the highest paid CBs for very long
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
