They're just too damned lazy, man. Next year as soon as I read the words "The Redskins need..." I won't read another sentence.

Very reasonable solution!

I had no fun looking at (hardly) any mock drafts this year for this very reason. The fact that we were picking relatively late in the first round, plus everyone's assumption that we'd be drafting someone on the DL. I knew there was an even better chance it would be something that surprised people like a CB, WR, MLB, G, or C . . .
Considering how really bad this franchise was at the end of 2014 and understanding that there was no way that things would or even could improve with the players and coaches that we had, this turnaround is just amazing
As Scot and this FO make it very apparent that they have a plan and the people in place to make that plan work, this franchise has a very good chance of being able to attract the very best of the NFL at all levels
this is going to be fun and really good players are going to have success here and be rewarded for it
as the saying goes ... "these guys are good ..."
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Firing Haz and benching RG3 really seemed to pay off well last year.

They stuck to their board, yes. They also stuck to their belief in drafting guys with a certain mindset.
It’s not about being a saint, but it is about having a certain approach and, of course, loving the game. The Redskins are building a defense with more energetic, passionate players than they’ve had in the past. It matters.
And if you want a tough team, it’s real simple: add tough players. A few years ago, the Redskins drafted ball-hawking defensive backs, but they weren’t considered “tough” players. Yet they were also then asked to play that way. It wasn’t in their DNA. You can’t take guys who don’t have a certain mindset and ask them to adopt one.
So the Redskins now take guys with a certain mindset and ask them to be who they are on the field. Maybe they change their roles on the field and maybe they won’t be successful. But it seems they have the right attitude about the game.

Scot and the FO would not have had much to do with either of those decisions but the change in attitude, implementing the plan and making sure that Dan Snyder stays away from meddling with players and coaches would certainly be a part of what they did
we were going nowhere and had absolutely no chance of success under Snyder and Allen
I have a lot more confidence in the direction this franchise is heading under Scot and this FO
a lot of other franchises are watching this franchise very closely based on what has happened here over 2 drafts + a little more than 12 months

Amen to that.
