With the 53rd pick, the Washington Redskins draft:

Q: DT? C? or S?

A: Best player available and higher in the table across the three positions ... so, it depends on other team's choices from 32 to 52.

While it might still be possible to trade down, I suspect that if one of the great DTs is still available at 53, they will take him. Only a couple of really good Cs are available. Safety is an intriguing choice.

But I am sure that SM would accept a good offer to trade down even if it is one spot as he did yesterday but even out of the 2nd round. ;)

Had Nick Martin fallen to us I'd have been good with OL, I think BPA dictated another solid pick instead

If he's a safety for us he's one really big safety! Looking forward to seeing what the team has planned for him.

True to the BPA strategy. Solid pick which also addressed a need.I think he should fit SS/lb. Scott sure keeps me on my toes thats for sure.
Sean Taylor starting free safety Heavens team!

Heard on the radio that Barry recruited Cravens out of HS to USC. Interesting.

So how does that work man? It's like a LB they use more on passing downs?

Yes... defends the short middle against crossing routes, may help with the slot, TE, and a hedge against the Draw. May be used to blitz... Would likely spy an athletic QB.

I would like to see Andrew Billings with this pick. Big man to fill the nose tackle void.

Does drafting Fuller mean Culliver could be a cap casualty? He does count I think $8 million this year.

It's quite refreshing not to see 500 second-guessing posts! Until the GMs arrival, every pick would be (rightfully!) torn apart, now it's a trust and we'll see kinda deal
