Talk about the Washington Football Team here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

Now we just need Karl Joseph back there in the secondary with him.

I'm surprised that you're surprised. We have almost 20 years of Snyder history of doing that sort of thing. We would be idiots if we WEREN'T suspicious.[/quote]

Absolutely. We'll know for sure if it is a Snyder play if it doesn't work. If it works out I'm giving SM the credit.

- $15M signing
- $5M 2016 salary
- $16.5M 2017 salary

We could drop him in 2018, but this would create a $9M dead cap hit --- which alone is more than most teams have in total this year.

Considering the fact we have to sign Cousins, the $20M in 2017 could hurt us. I see no point in applying 12% of our total salary cap (in 2017) on one player that isn't a QB1.

I just think it is a LOT of money to a guy that has 7 career INTs and has only played 2 full seasons out of 4. And for a guy who's best season was in a contract year. Those don't sit well with me. Hopefully he works out.

I too have my concerns. Having said that ...

The way things work ... McCloughan makes the final call on which players to pursue ... Snyder, meanwhile, is kept abreast of plans ... but no longer is a key member of discussion meetings.

Also, check out the projected caps for the next several years:

2016 = $155 M
2017 = $166 M
2018 = $178 M
2019 = $190 M

He may seem like a bargain before too long.

Well, I'm witchu but we should remember Kerrigan just got $57.5 M for 5 years and Trent just got $66 M for 5 years.

And if Kirk plays well this year get ready to say OMFG.
