It's Dallas week .... again

Post by SkinsJock »

Now we do have some guys here (Deadskins) that thought we were going to win a bunch of games this season but when the schedule came out and we end up with 2 road games against the eagles and the pukes, I must admit, I never thought the NFC East would be on the line ...

here we are - NFC East Champs - and favored going into a game against the pukes in Dallass - it don't get any better than this :D

Saturday we eliminated the eagles - this Sunday we could put the final nail in the Jason Garrett coffin

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I wouldn't go patting yourself on the back just yet...Skeletor was remarked as saying that changes needed to be
made in 2016 and his comments during the Buffalo game, were no doubt aimed at Garrett himself who is either
fired and replaced or is given a new set of coordinators but my gut feeling is? he's toast already and Jerruh is
just sharpening up the ax waiting to deliever the death blow

Do the Skins even try to win this game? They don't need to, but I don't know if it's best to try to go into the play-offs on a high note, or should they rest their starters and head in fresh?

I'd rather rest the starters... And even lose honestly.

My hate goes so deep that I'd rather push the pukes 1st round pick back a little bit, and maybe even SAVE Garretts job! The guy is a gutless tool; exactly the kind of idiot you want running the enemy's team. Like wise for jaba the Hutt chip, and old father time Caughlin- these clowns are the best possible scenario for coaches in our division!

Win it. This is Redskins / Cowboys. Every game between them is a playoff game. The Redskins are improving each game, so keep winning. Keep going int the right direction.

What would Diron Talbert say? I'm with him on this but if the Cowboys win they would move from being in the top 3 on draft day to being in the top 8. The cowboys winning would not be a bad thing as the Redskins don't need the win.

....and its NOT Dullass week. Sorry friend (SJ), but it only applies to home games.

- I LOVE beating the pukes... But watching their draft pick fall out of the top 3, is literally as enjoyable as the 4 win season they've put up.

We win or lose, I'm good either way!!

I'm on the fence with this one. I'd like to see Cousins start just so he can break the 4K mark for passing this season. But I think we risk an injury for a meaningless game. If Gruden sits the starters in this one, I won't be disappointed at all, because part of me believes that McCoy and co. are just as capable of beating the lowly Cowpies.

Starting your top players in meaningless games, strictly for the stat line is even worse then starting them in a game that holds no bearing, just because of the rivalry.

The rivalry is actually why I DON'T want to risk it... These bums would LOVE to hinder our chances at going all the way! Taking out an irreplaceable player, slowing them for next game, getting one or more suspended?! Definitely a possibility!

I get your point about Captain Kirk.. he's had such a great second half if the season, he definitely belongs in the conversation of other qbs in the 4k club. However, there's plenty of years for him to do so and more! If he really is Breezy-esque, we will be cheersing 5k soon enough!!!!

Try to win the game and go into the playoffs with a 4 game winning streak.

Been thinking about it. If you have injured guys like Goldson or Moses, might be a good time to give them the week off. Otherwise, I think I would go out and play this game just like any other week. Don't mess with what you've been building.

You think Sean Payton is waiting in the wings?

It would make a lot of sense, but Payton would be smart to write his own ticket and get Jerry to give up some control.

Bringing along Drew Brees wouldn't be a terrible move either. :D

This game is meaningless to me. While I want Kirk to get over the 4,000 yard hump, want Crowder to break the rookie reception record, and want Reed to break the TD by a TE record, it wouldn't bother me at all if the starters rested. And it wouldn't bother me at all if they played the entire game.

Leave the politics out of it and stomp the pies into the mud, step on the fallen as we go to the playoffs and don't look back.

Rest those that are injured and play the first string the first quarter. Treat this game like a preseason game. I would hate to see the Cowpukes take out a starter.

Only rest injured guys. The rest need to keep getting better and the last thing we need is rust.

You have to play and play at 100%. YOu can't bench all your starters, there aren't enough bodies. When you start mixing and matching bodies, you start to endanger other players. I think they need to go out and play sound football, keep the momentum going. Forcibly so.

There it is.

I did hear Riggins on the radio yesterday say if it was him he would want to sit out that game. But he's John Riggins and none of these current Redskins can hold his jockstrap yet.

So if you play Colt, is Cousins the backup? Or is RG active?

Cousins is the backup. Griffin is inactive. Not even a question.

Cousins, man! There is no way you can let the $16m man near the field with one game left to play. That's NUTS!!!

I think I agree. Let certain o-line and d-line sit and some other injured players. Have Kirk play the first half (I don't think he's in much danger of getting injured) and Colt the second. By the middle of the third quarter start giving players a rest, and by the end of the game have almost all of your backups in there.

I think Cousins should start the game, play for a bit, and then be ready to come in if Colt gets injured. Darrell Young preps to play if both get hurt.
