Tight End Hell - We're In It

Post by Burgundy&GoldForever »

Redskins TE Derek Carrier tore his ACL and his MCL yesterday, source said. His season is over.

Jordan Reed had better keep his head up and on a swivel.

Or you know... Gruden could adapt his scheme to include Darrel Young...

Why would he want to do that? Just because he has a Pro Bowl fullback on the roster doesn't mean he should actually use him.

Exactly. Because as Philosopher Chip Kelly has taught us. Scheme > Talent.

Real post of the day. Should be a no brainer to include Young now, the teams best blocker at the skilled positions.

It should be a no-brainer to field you 11 best players, regardless of what your scheme utilizes. The best coaches do that.

Maybe, but DY would be an awfully small TE. I heard SM already has a guy in for a tryout…forgot the name. As for blocking I’m guessing Gruden with go back to Tom Compton and Ty Nsekhe

Je'Ron Hamm is already on the roster but he's not much of a blocker. Too bad Compton can't catch.

Too bad C00ley is already employed by Snyder.

sometimes, even mediocre NFL Head Coaches do that as well ...
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I don't want DY at TE. I want him at FB. I want our offensive genius of a HC to run a 1TE/1FB set and play our best ****ing players. Whoever they get off the street isn't gonna be better than DY.

Maybe I'm crazy.
