And that a good completion percentage is only because of short passes...

Among so many other things.

Glad for today's win. Tuesday morning sucked ass and I didn't want to deal with that again. I'm hoping a close win means the team will focus and practice well this week to take on the Bills next weekend.

Win and you're in. That's all this team should be thinking about right now.

Jordan Reed is a beast and unfortunately we're not taking full advantage of the weapons we have ... not even close
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

God, we are NEVER happy.

Jordan Reed v. the Chicago LBs was a HUGE mismatch and our coaching staff exploited it. You take what the other team gives you.

Of course, in DC when Jordan Reed goes 9-9 for 110+ yards, our response is to cry that Alfred Morris didn't get the ball enough. LMFAO.

Well, the refs did steal a TD from Reed and give it to Alfred, so...

So awesome to see him fulfill his potential.

All of the best draft picks from the Shanahan/Allen era were players who, at the time, we didn't have a need for, but who the coaches felt were too talented to pass on. Cousins, Reed, Morris, Chris Thompson. Funny how that works!

It's the difference between drafting for need and drafting the best player available regardless of need. Of course in our case it's also the difference between having someone who knows player scouting on some level and having someone who knows player scouting on no level operating the draft. Cerrato. Allen. Shanahan. :) McCloughan. :D

If Shanahan had truly been in charge of the draft there is no chance we draft RGIII.

In Reed's case, all the proof you need is to watch the games. No stats are necessary here, but all they'd do was further prove the point.

we're very lucky to have Jordan Reed - and that we're still in the driver's seat to win the NFC East despite the fact that some offensive gurus here cannot take any advantage of all the turnovers we've had

3 games to go ...

I don't disagree at all. Reid's value is clear. My comment was intended to be sarcasm which apparently didn't translate.

ROTFALMAO - not using DY and a lot of ineffective play calling is not bothering you? I'm always happy after a win - but I'll be a lot happier when we have somebody calling a better game on offense than we've seen in a bunch of games this season

where IN THAT POST did I say I was not happy or that we should run Morris more?

I agree. I think Shanahan caved to the pressure from Snyder. But it's so hard to tell, because I can't assume anything either he or Snyder says is true or false . . . they both just say whatever will suit them best, it seems to me.

Because the Pro Bowl is a crock of crap. I'd ask the same about Hopkins and maybe one or two others.

I can't say that Reed deserves to make it over any of these players. He's not a complete TE and to be quite honest, he's an atrocity in the run blocking department. Not to mention the amount of penalties he attracts. Hell, he prolly should have been put in the receiver category.

Tyler Eifert, Bengals
Rob Gronkowski, Patriots
Travis Kelce, Chiefs
Greg Olsen, Panthers

I looked at the list and I thought he deserved to be in over Kelce. You make a good point in that he was (not sure he still is) the most penalized skill position player in the NFL.

As the alternate, he still has OVER DOUBLE the TDs that Kelce has... After missing however many games to boot!!
Hopefully he and Kerrigan are busy that weekend anyway!!!

The bonehead penalties, and terrible blocking techniques need to be cleaned up- and he will surely take his spot amoung the top 3 TEs in the league!
