They most definitely can, because they already do. Right now, we hold the tie-breakers and have a 1/2 game lead on the vaGiants and the Smeagols. Just win, baby.

thankfully the fecals played the Pats and got that out of their system - I'm looking for wins in our last 2 games
Watched the Patriots/Beagles game... the Eagles did not win... The Patriots self-destructed. Period.

Trust me, fellas... the Eagles are still pathetic.

This is certainly reassuring. I watched the Wizards pre-game and game so I missed most of the Eagles/Pats game.

The Giants-Jets game was incredible, Coughlin screwed the pooch in that game so bad. Ahh, very satisfying, almost as good as a Skins win. The jets really are a good team.

That was so awesome. Tomorrow night is officially HUGE.

agreed - but it would have been even bigger if the vagiants had won

I'm not worried, we've heard from a number of sources that Kirk Cousins has a strong arm and we should see a bunch of long passes downfield to #11 (Jackson) tomorrow ...

Aside from the petty snarkiness.... its going to be an interesting matchup. Cousins has passed for 290+ yards in his last four home games. The Cowboys haven't allowed more than 250 passing yards since week 1. They average 225 p/yds per game. So considering Newton, Brees, Brady, Ryan, Wilson, etc; haven't had much success on long passes this season, not sure why you'd be expecting it from Cousins.

I think this game is really going to be about our defense again. Stop the run and take advantage of some mistakes from Cassel.

The eagles have been an absolute mess for a few weeks and absolutely quit on their coach 2 (or maybe 3) weeks ago - I watched this game and the Pats looked very out of sync - The eagles did not 'win' this game, the patriots did not play nearly as well as they should

the real point here is VERY simple - we just need to play good football and not shoot ourselves in the foot - we do not need to play great, we just need to eliminate mistakes

mark my words - winning the NFC East is very realistic and it would be incredibly disappointing to not accomplish that

VERY disappointing - we do not need Dan Snyder to suddenly become 'involved' again but he will if these guys blow this opportunity
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Yeah that was shocking. I turned that game off three times thinking it was over and the Eagles kept doing dumb s*** to let the Pats back in the game.

Injuries definitely hurt the Pats yesterday. Kind of interesting to see them lose a game where THEIR receivers dropped a bizarre number of passes. The great Coach Belichik calls a really questionable onside kick. And Tom Brady throws a horrible INT for a pick 6. Guess it happens to the best of them.

Eagles have the Bills and Cardinals up next. I'd be very surprised if they get on a roll.

I'm not expecting anything from Kirk Cousins, IMO, he's a very good back-up QB that's taken FULL advantage of his opportunity and is clearly showing progress - good luck to him and I hope he's here to help us for a few more years - I just hope he doesn't screw up the opportunity to help win this game - let's be very clear, he's not winning this game, the Redskins are - I could not care less what the pukes defense has done, it does not matter - ALL that matters is playing well enough to win - the pukes cannot win this game unless we let them

the players and coaches only need to clearly understand one thing - this is our opportunity, we need to grab it and find a way to win

the pukes will only play as well as we let them - the Redskins need to determine who wins this game, not the stupid pukes

there will be hell to pay here if these guys suddenly start showing that they're not good coaches or the players start making bad mistakes

this is a very unexpected bonus but it's here - the only thing that matters to Dan Snyder now is winning the NFC East - if these coaches & players don't take advantage of this, and clearly show that they're not able to do their jobs, they will be gone

I agree. I was blown away by how they came out vs. the Giants, especially our defense. Played with a ton of energy and nastiness and got the crowd behind them early. Hope we see the same tonight.

As far as Cousins goes, I'm just looking for him to be smart and efficient. He's been good on third down all year long. If we have a chance to go deep, great. If the game is all short passes to Reed, great. Need to take advantage of turnovers too which we didn't do last week vs. the Giants. And hopefully the team can find a way to get the run game going.

I haven't spoken to him in a few weeks myself, so I'll just have to assume that this is true based on your latest conversations with the man.

Actually, I just had breakfast with Danny and he says all that matters to him is that he can keep right on removing seats to avoid the NFL blackout restriction.

Not surprising. We don't meet for bagels and coffee until Friday, so until then I'm fresh out of definitive statements about the mind of Dan Snyder.

Watch the play again. Obvious interference before the pick. Should have been 1st and goal at the 1. Brady probably shouldn't have thrown it, but that was a horrible no call.

I wouldn't relieve myself on him if he were on fire ... Dan Snyder's a huge contradiction and he cannot stop interfering ...

+1 - Brady was mad that he threw the ball but the call should have been made ...

officiating has been bad but it's also interesting how certain franchises seem to be more affected ...
maybe Snyder should change the name on the proviso that we stop getting bad calls or he will change it back

Interesting. I'll have to take a look again, didn't know there was any PI involved or that it was controversial. Saw it on SportsCenter again a few minutes ago and all I really noticed was Brady trying to jam the ball in between two defenders.

Either way, I just meant "horrible" INT in that it was in the Eagles red zone. Should have been Pats score but was returned 100 yards the other way instead.

There was no controversy. I was amazed that no one picked up on it, though. I saw it clearly in real time. I can't have been the only one. For his part, Brady took the total blame for the throw in his post-game presser. He also took the blame for the other INT in the end-zone, even though the receiver obviously cut the route short, and wasn't there when the ball came down.

The WR/TE injuries definitely hurt the Pats and Brady yesterday, that much was clear. I was fully expecting Brady to drive the length of the field in the final two minutes but it was just drop after drop.

Who would have guessed in August that on Dec 7 we'd be playing a game with our playoff destiny totally in our control?

With a handful of games left, win and we're in. Gotta love it. I really don't even care if we make the playoffs; at this point we just need to put the exclamation point on the season to show that we are an improving and up-and-coming squad. We're young, we're hungry, and we've got a plan.

^^ agreed - this is just an amazing finish - all we were hoping for in August was signs that Snyder was not interfering plus some indications that we were on the right track under Scot's (& the FO) guidance and control
we got all that and now we're looking at the very real possibility that we could win the NFC East - THAT IS JUST AMAZING

however, this is the NFL and nothing that's happened in the past really matters - it's all about what have you done for me lately ...

the radio guys in NE this week were discussing the Red Sox bringing in David Price and they pointed out something interesting
- baseball is all about what you've done - David Price is getting paid a VERY big salary based on what he's done
- The NFL salaries and your future with a franchise are based on what your value is perceived to be, not so much based on what you've done

we have an owner that could care less how we got here, all he wants is an NFC East title in 2015 and these guys better deliver

I'm a happy camper - I think Snyder has let Scot do his thing and the results indicate that the future looks promising

IMO - Snyder will support Scot & he will have some input into who is here in '16 - these players & coaches better not let him down

I hope that everyone on the Redskins side of the field will be really fired up to put the stinking pukes away for this season

I see that Captain Kirk is 2-5 against the NFC East - that had better be 5-5 by the end of this season

are you kidding me - we need a QB that can win most of the games they play against the NFC East teams that suck like these guys do
