Brunell is the man...

Post by hatsOFF2gibbs »

Ramsey is NOT our starting quarterback. Heck if you look at the stats, Hasselbeck probably has more completions than Ramsey. Okay, okay, Hasselbeck has more INT's but.....he's a third stringer! Ramsey is doing awful and I think it is pretty clear already that Brunell is for sure our starting qb for the begining of the season.

Any objections? :)

My only concern at this stage is what Ramseys reaction will be when Brunell is announced as the starter. I would hope that he would be a true professional and take it like a man. I think he'll be a team player.
Sit back and watch the Redskins.

SOMETHING MAGICAL IS ABOUT TO BEGIN!

Why wouldn't Ramsey take it like a man?

He's always all-world when it comes to class... in fact, the only 'negative commentary' EVER from Patrick came 'through' his agent, meaning that Patrick probably never said anything at all. The agent is of course going to be concerned that Ramsey won't be able to reach his escalator clauses in his contract if he's sitting on the bench... it means the agent gets less money... but Ramsey was out of town when all of it went down... and IMO, this is all just a case of fans believing too much of what they read (and at a time where there was little to no news).

I watched the two of them interact with each other at camp for a week... if there's any animosity there... they're both smart enough to keep it off of a Joe Gibbs' practice field.

Ramsey and Brunell are not only amicable... they're buddies. They have discovered in getting to know each other that they share MANY commonalities... religion and hunting to name a few.

All the hype surrounding the controversy is quite frankly... just hype... and agent-generated hype at that.

And the way Ramsey has performed at QB so far in 2004... he's made Coach Gibbs' decision on the starter very easy to make.
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.
