While he was out all that time, it was easy to believe he would be let go next season for cap reasons. But seeing him out there - and not just on the long TD - you have to appreciate how he stretches the field (at least I do).

He's not perfect, but teams have to have play makers. Right, Chip Kelly?

I don't know for sure about Garcon, but I'm starting to believe they will want to keep DeSean around next year.

Well he's already signed and we are in good shape cap wise, so I don't really see money being an issue or reason to cut him. Isn't his contract less than Garcon's??

I think he and Garcon are both around $9m. Its just a lot of money to have tied up in two WRs, especially for one who missed the first half of the season. But I agree with your point about being in good shape cap wise, and I don't expect that McCloughan is going to be one of these big time players in free agency anyway.

The long bomb for the TD on Sunday changed the tone of the game for us, but I'm curious to see if he can get over the injury bug and remain healthy over the next five games and into 2016. All that said, I'd like to see us draft a tall receiver with great hands at some point down the road to complement our smaller, speedy receivers. :)

Me too, man. Having said that, I'm hoping our next draft is all about defense, defense, defense.

So would I but you don't find an Art Monk in every draft.

Are you saying DJax is already under contract for next season? Did we sign him to a three year deal, or only two. For some reason, I was thinking it was a two year deal.

Jackson signed a three-year deal worth $24 million, including $16 million guaranteed... $8 million average per year
