btw - the pukes and eagles are both picking before us ...
NOTE: after this week we'll be picking 'last' in the NFC East because statistically we'll be leading the NFC East ....

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
I like the way you think -- that is.....being first in NFC East after Sunday!!
On the other hand, while I like picking big guys for the trenches I'm not a proponent of picking a NT in the first round. I was attacked by some posters when i said that before this past draft. There were a few who wanted Danny Shelton, who by the way - hasn't excelled so far with the Browns. In fact, he isn't playing very much I think You can find NT's later in the draft.
nooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Don't want to think about the draft yet!!!!!!
I do like the direction of the pick here though btw. NT at #13. I saw a mock the other day with us taking Reggie Ragland, LB, Alabama. Still a long way away, but I really hope we're able to add to the defense next spring. Obviously need more speed on defense. I would love to see a nasty, aggressive play maker added on that side of the ball.
Thanks for the link though, SJ.

Give me one good reason why we can't go back to a 4-3 defensive alignment. I'm about over all these stiffs we keep acquiring at linebacker.

Or at least let our post-season chances be mathematically eliminated. Two to three weeks at a minimum.
SORRY - this was really more about the fact that after this weekend we will be leading the NFC East ...
despite a couple of unbelievably bad showings this season the Redskins have shown improvement over the past 2 seasons - while we may win the NFC East more because the pukes, the giants & the eagles have played incredibly badly than due to our playing well, I'll take it
we all know that we have some time to go before we can consider this group a consistent playoff contender - winning the NFC East will not change anything - the franchise still needs to have a huge turnover in players but this is what Scot M. is so great at

btw - Callaghan has certainly helped the O line but while I agree that we have major issues defensively we still need to add starting linemen in place of anyone that was a starting O lineman in 2013 or 2014, except for Williams obviously - some of those guys may be good enough to be back-ups (maybe Kory) but a couple of them (LeRibeus for sure) have to be cut ASAP ... rant over

I think LeRib is a free agent next year. Would be surprised to see him re-signed. Center is going to have to be addressed one way or the other.
I don't really see how o-line is a pressing need though. Six of our nine healthy linemen are younger guys we drafted in recent years. Scot just drafted two himself last year. I'll never complain about adding quality linemen though if that's the best guy on your board when its your turn to pick!

no worries - for sure, our most pressing needs are on D ... can never have enough good linemen on both sides of the ball

to clarify - if we win the game this Sunday the Redskins will be playing a 'meaningful game' in December

He should be a free agent next week. Failure to know the snap count is inexcusable. He should go keep RGIII company in the "guys who can't execute a play" section of the bench.

It's hard to replace somebody with nobody.

In some cases, maybe, but not in this case
