Nah, we are as close to unbeatable as you can get. And versus the Redskins, the odds of winning are even higher than say Denver.

I don't think anyone is predicting a Redskin victory ... well, maybe the Deadman.

I completely disagree. I think the defensive game plan in particular was pretty good. They took away Rob Gronkowski as much as possible (Sunday was his least productive game of the season). We just don't have the players on defense at all though to stop the run.

it's going to be an interesting week hearing from the excuse mongers here ... that was an atrocious display, especially after a bye week

Its also going to be a long week listening to the Chicken Little sky is falling action squad.

Another brilliant post. The defense held the Patriots to 8 fewer points than they have averaged this season. Yea, no team would care about how to do that.

lol. Mondays after a loss remind me of the monkey house at the zoo around here. People just throw crap against the wall and see what sticks.

ROTFALMAO I'm amazed that some fans here thought the Patriots play on offense was even close to the level they normally play at and that our defense had something to do with that - then again, there's not a lot of posters here that really have a clue about some of these other teams

The Patriots were basically on cruise control after about 10 minutes of the first quarter and knowing the Redskins were not going to try running the ball and that the Redskins QB is not going to try any passes over 15 yards certainly helped

being able to run the ball and stopping their run game is a formula that might work ... we never got to see it though
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Yeah if there is one thing Bill Belichik is known for its taking his foot off the gas and operating on cruise control.

Patriots 36 Dolphins 7
Jaguars 17 Patriots 51
Cowboys 6 Patriots 30

He probably just has a soft spot for the Skins. Thought he would take it easy on us after the onside kick. What a nice fella.

If the Patriots are one thing this season, they are not the Patriots of old - these guys are really dinged up on the offensive side of the ball

yes they like to score but they basically take whatever the opposing team is giving them - there's a difference to this offense when they have to score and when they're on cruise control

the 2007 team was different and better than this unit - I'd love for them to go 19-0 because of what the NFL is trying to do to them ...

The average person would realize they're posting a lot of nonsense and spend more time thinking about what they're saying.

We're not dealing with the average person.

Now that the Skins game is over, I'd like to see them go 19-0 too. Goodell sucks.

Ah, its Monday. Day after a loss everybody posts their craziest stuff. SkinsJock usually seems more reasonable by around Thursday IMO.

 I'm actually getting over the losing by then ... I tried telling myself that we still needed a year or 2 and then the Miami game happened and I was pissed because we actually should have won that game

I'm OK now - just mad that we're not doing better but also trying to appreciate that we just don't have the pieces and it's going to take a while

I made a comment before the game that the Skins should be as unconventional as possible. The greatness of Bellichik is he already knew Gruden probably would try that. So what does he do...he’s beat Gruden to it by going onsides after the first touchdown. I also said that the Pats would run the ball, because there are great at exposing other team’s weaknesses. We can say we held them to 27 or stopped Gronk…the reality is the Pats do not care how they win, how they score or who does what. That 27-10 win was just the same as their 52-7 W a few years ago in their mines. As Doc said we couldn't even get our uniforms right!!

Good teams don't hold post-game press conferences for the sole purpose of making excuses. When was the last time Bill Belichick made excuses for the Patriots poor play? When was the last time Belichick said "I've got to coach better!?"

Never. Belichick never says stupid things like that because he doesn't have to. His team is disciplined and prepared and never takes plays off because his players know he's always one play away from benching or cutting them.

Belichick for all his idiosyncrasies and even his probable competitive edge cheating commands the respect of his players and they know they're playing for the name on the front of their uniforms, not the one on the back.

Our players haven't played with that level of commitment since Gibbs 1.
