HOGNOSTICATIONS 2015-2016

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

HOGNOSTICATIONS 2015-2016

Post by DarthMonk »

You are invited to join Hognostications, our pool on THN for picking winners during the regular season. To accept this invitation and join the pool, click the link below (or cut and paste the link into your browser's address bar). You'll be asked to enter the pool password before you can join, so it is posted below.

http://abtc.football.cbssports.com/e?ttag=FFB15_cbsinv

Our Pool password is: Hail

***I also sent this invite via email to everyone who played last year.***

A few notes:

We pick the winner of every game every week.

We do not use point spreads.

The (NEW) deadline for picks each week is ...

Five Minutes Before Each Game - Games will lock five minutes before the scheduled start of each specific game. Please note - all pool members' selections will be displayed in the "View All" picks section only for games that have locked. Games that are not selected will be counted as an incorrect pick.

We predict the total number of points scored on MNF. If there is more than one Monday night game, CBS will tell you which one to use for points.

The weekly winner is the Hognosticator with the most correct picks that week. The MNF score breaks ties. There is no penalty for going over the total points scored.

If you accidentally blow it and forget to make your picks, you get the score of the week's worst Hognosticator minus 1.

The winner for the year is the Hognosticator with the highest total of correct picks. The first tie break is most weekly wins. The next tie break is smallest average percent deviation from the actual MNF scores.

The Deadman runs a separate playoff pool after the regular season champ is crowned.

Though there is no strict rule prohibiting the picking of a Redskin opponent, the practice is highly frowned upon. Doing so is very bad form and the scum bag who does so is referred to as a Hognostitraitor.

NO HOGNOSTITRAITOR HAS EVER WON HOGNOSTICATIONS FOR THE YEAR.
Hog Bowl III, V, X Champion (2011, 2013, 2018)

We will take 'em big score!

We want heap more!

MODS: Please make last year's thread non-sticky. Same for survivor.

Looks like we have around 25 players. After week 1 I will try to delete a few duplicate accounts.

I plan on winning this year, ACW so pick well beeyotch!

Deadlines are amended to 5 minutes before each game. You forget to make picks and you get same score as the worst guy minus 1.

Good luck, all.

Well, 7-6 so far. Now the ones I missed:
*Us (at least we all missed that).
*STL (I'll gladly take that though. Eff them :) ).
*HOU (fine; I wasn't terribly confident. At least Jamaal and Kelce did well).
*BUF (   =D> DM for being the only one to pick them).
*SD (ugh, fine, so be it).
*TEN (meh. Both teams sucked, so I took the home team ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ).

TEN at TB - damn it - cannot believe I did not take the better QB
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

The important thing here is I can't possibly finish week one worse than 9-7. 8-[

Got lucky on a few. Feel picking VIK @ 49R was pretty bad in hindsight. Overlooked an important thing or two there.

14-2 at work for $$$. \:D/

Miami losing to JAX. Either Miami's worse than we thought, or JAX is better.

Just so everyone knows - Michael emailed me and asked me to change his ATL pick to WAS.

=D>

He assured me it was a mistake.

Note he still won the week and leads the overall standings by 1 over me and SJ.

Objection: CHI won that game...that was a bogus TD that should've been an INT, and that phantom roughing the passer penalty...DET stole one.
