G-Men will always have Kirk's number. I either want Colt to start or draft another QB 1st or 2nd round next year.

LOL always go with the backup.

Give me a break Colt isn't going to do *sh$t*.

There isn't a starter on this team.

Once they gave up on Griffin I knew they would be drafting another QB next year.

Problem is this team Will win just enough so they'll pick out of the top 5 in the draft.

RossDaBoss is Banks 2.0 but with better hands and size.
Matt Jones looks to be stealing the job from Morris

Unfortunately we will continue to fall into holes and abandon the run like always, with Kirk Grossman feeding the other team the ball.

Penalties, fair or not, need to be addressed. Lacking the simple fundamentals of playing DISCIPLINED football lies squarely on the shoulders of the coach.

The first down play calling has got to be more then 3 different plays.

When the box is stacked on first down, is Kirk not givien the authority to check the heck out of the play?

Through preseason to now, the number of turnovers from Kirk is a clear indication Gruden qb camp didn't help. We can't minimize his role any more if we don't get a lead to pound the ball on the ground. That's gonna be a big problem

As much crap as Kirk will get for the picks, that Matt Jones fumble was a back breaker.

Tonight, the Redskins lost their MoJo.

kirk missing Reed early for 6 hurt, the special teams allowing a blocked punt, and kirks early pick put us in a hole that we couldn't overcome. The Jones fumble hurt as well, we took at least 14 points off the board adding kirks second pick when we were at least in FG range. Giving them 9 points and taking points off the board for us, on the road is a recipe for exactly what happened. I'm not sure Kirk's INT issues are correctable, he just throws inexplicable passes but sadly gives us the best chance to win right now...i think ( there's absolutely no reason to throw that 2nd ball that got picked). Defense hung tough, but needed to apply way more pressure on the QB. Kerrigan has made very little impact through 3 games and Murphy is non-existent as a pass rusher. Even despite the lack of pass rush, if we take care of the ball and convert our scoring changes then this game would've been much closer. Same story it seems as always, close but yet so far.

Back breaker

Really?

So say jones scores on that play. The Skins have to recover a onside kick and score again and guess what they've got to do it all over again.

By the way it wasn't just Kirk's INTs. It was the fact he had guys open all night and couldn't make a throw.

He doesn't look to be the answer and anyone that believes he is the answer is delusional at this point.

Another game and another data point on the 2015 team. The NY rush defense shut the Skins down and the Skins were no match for the NY offense. NY really needed this game and they are a better team. Manning has a number of good receivers

After the SL win we got pumped up and even dreamed of competing for the division title. Now it feels like the first two games were illusions. Hopefully the running game will work better against Philly and the Skins can get back to .500. I think the Skins are improved and will pounce back.

Yes we agree Colt is not the answer, fans who are back on the bandwagon every other year or (half a year) when he loses the job and or plays poorly is just annoying. We don't have a the answer on our team right now sadly Robert isn't going to work out for us.

I live in the Delaware valley where there are lots of Eagles fans. I hope they lose to the Jets (if they score a few scores they got it with their defense). I'd be just as happy if the Skins beat the Eagles and they started 0-4  ruining their season. For the skins all I wish for is progress and hope.

You know for a fact you aren't a legit starter if he only plays some what well when the run game is running and the team is playing well. If things aren't going your way than there is little to none home. Most recent qb I've seen who did well after adversity was RG3 but that was many many years ago

Back breaker for sure. The D popped it out of Jones arms, it looked like to me. D was chasing Jones down and looked like he punched it out. Or am I seeing things?

Man where to begin….lots of blame for this one. I’m going straight to the head coach first. This is a team that lacks discipline, when you see penalties and missed assignment, and turnovers that’s a lack of discipline to me. All the talk this week (and yes there was some done by the team) needed to be tempered. As I said before the game it’s no secret what NY would do, stack the line and make Kirk beat them, they better figure it out because this will be the story going forward from here. It ironic but Kirk throwing for 300+ is a bad thing for this team; we will not win games with him throwing 50 times. Speaking of Kirk I thought he tried way too hard to not throw an INT instead of trying to throw the ball. He had receivers open all night and just didn’t get them the ball, I say this because I’ve seen him make those throws…I can only guess that’s it mental with him?? It’s too bad because Jordan Reed was great last night he is the only guy right now getting separation and if he had a good QB last night he would have had a buck fifty with 2 TD’s. I don’t want to hear about how Colt or RG could have done better, I still believe we need to see a body of work from Kirk. But it all comes back to the coach….I said it before the season and I’ll say it again he better play some meaningful games in December or he’ll be looking for another job….

Well, the Skins did the two things they always do when they play the Giants...they sucked, and they lost! At least no one can say the Skins aren't charitable...whenever an NFC East team needs a win to get back on track, the Skins are more than glad to give it to them...next week the charity wagon will be rolling out the red carpet to give Philly their first win and get them back on track...

Not really. Not even close. He fumbled with 9:40 left. We then three-and-outed them and they punted with 7:30 left. So no fumble combined with that would have us with the ball down either 25-12 or 25-14 with 7:24 left and the ball on our own 26. There was enough time to avoid onside kicks all together.

Smurf85 wrote:By the way it wasn't just Kirk's INTs. It was the fact he had guys open all night and couldn't make a throw.

Agreed. In fact, the first pick was way more on a horrible route than a bad throw (IMO, want to hear if Cooley agrees). Into a zone with a huge open area in the middle, our WR gave an out fake to a defender playing way off and on the inside. He also ran way too deep. With no out fake and a sharp in Kirk makes the same read and throw for an easy first down.

Missing Reed short up the left side for a TD was a WAY worse throw.

I actually thought we looked great on our opening drive. We set up a beautiful play for Thompson that we probably practiced all week. All Reed had to do was run a hook, get banged into, then admire Gruden's call as a wide open Thompson gathers in a nice pass. Instead, he sets a pick. Then we run OB on a punt canceling what should have been a roughing call and the next thing you know, we re-punt for a safety. SMH.

Are there various degrees of the "fumble"? Perhaps but either way, they are NOT good.

1 type of fumble is the oopps, it just slipped out of my hands type. Another type is the "got punched out" by the defender type.

Either way, Matt (and all our ball carriers) need to tuck/clutch/hold/cradle that baby as if their LIFE depended on it.

Great play by the Giants D, hate to say, but this is the NFL Matt. Guys are bigger, faster, stronger.
