When did FedEx turn into Jacksonville??
I gave up my tickets a few years ago because I got tired of seeing seats next to me going for 25 percent of the cost of my tickets. I went to a few games last year, got tickets for the Rams game this past weekend for $35 (downstairs). I guess I read that they covered up some seats but man it like a ghost town compared to a few years ago. I went upstairs to visit with a friend and it was maybe 10,000 people up there. Then in the second half they started shooting T-Shirts into the crowd and I commented to a friend that Redskins games have turned into minor league baseball. Really sad to see the game day experience eroding, but on the bright side it was the fastest I’ve ever gotten home after a game.

I live in Jacksonville and I have to tell you I think Fed Ex is worse. Jacksonville hasn't removed stadium seats every year to keep within the NFL blackout rules.

We've gone from removing seats to covering them up...I guess if you cover them up they don't count for blackouts?? Snyder would never hear the end of it if the Skins were blacked out...

Danny boy should never hear the end of it as is. He is the worst owner in all of pro sports. People don't show up BECAUSE of what HE has done to the franchise.
Covering up seats is classic Danny. The guy has absolutely no moral compass and is always looking for quick and easy ways out of things. Just a horrible person all the way around.
RIP Sean Taylor. You will be missed.

It is sad to see, but winning will cure all ills. That is the biggest issue - being the loser of the NFC East for so many years. There is very little reason to believe the franchise is doing anything other than spinning its wheels after the latest RGIII debacle - all hope was pinned on Bob. Now our hope is that Scott is blowing this thing up and planting the seeds from scratch. I am optimistic for the long run if things continue to progress as we have seen the past two Sundays.
Other significant points:
DC is not a local city, it's international with most people living here coming from other places not considered "Redskins Country" (which has dwindled with the rise of the southern franchises - Atlanta, Tampa and Carolina)
Fans now go to see an NFL game, not to cheer on their Redskins. Free agency has made players > team. This is a deadly disease in sports globally.
Traffic - the location of FedEx has always sucked. The past several years of losing has gone beyond the tipping point.
TV - coverage on TV now makes it much more enjoyable to watch from the comfort of your big screen at home with cheap beer on tap.
Bottom line, the team should play in DC or VA. Things were doomed as soon as a decision for putting the stadium in Maryland was made. Most fans come from DC and points South. It is just as easy to attend a game coming from Philly as it is coming from Ashburn or even Falls Church.

There's so many things he could do....lower prices in the upper bowl, make it a price friendly family area. Just doesn't make since to cover up seats that could be sold at a reasonable price??

Man those ticket prices on stubhub last week were shocking. $70 for 50 yard line lower bowl? Second game of the season??? Unbelievable.
Obviously the product on the field has been horrible. I still think Fedex is a terrible, terrible stadium and not a great experience. Win or lose, I can't tell you how many games I've left and thought, "Damn I wish I had just stayed at home and watched this in my living room."

Yes I'll agree it's not the best. Having been to places like Green Bay and KC. But I've not seen anything like I saw Sunday. I'll hit a few more games if those prices are still there, I always enjoy seeing a few friends and a football game. But I must admit when I gave up my tickets I brought a 55 inch Big screen and staying home is nice!!

Do you remember when he first bought the team and added hundreds of seats to the stadium? What a difference twenty years of losing makes.
