We know Bob can't be completely happy sitting on the bench, but I do think he is happy that the TEAM is winning.

Newspapers and websites love to create drama.

The only thing Bleacher Report is good for is if you run out of toilet paper.

I would be surprised if they didn't have negative feelings towards each other by now. Cousins was placed in a frustrating position in 2012 and handled it well but it had to gnaw at him playing behind a guy incapable of executing a real NFL offense. McCoy must have shared that frustration because they both are far more able in a WCO than Griffin. As for Griffin it had to be very alarming to know Cousins was more talented mentally. Only the owners sponsorship was kept Griffin in the lineup plus it had to bother him seeing how Cousins could think faster and handle a WCO and he couldn't do it. Anytime Cousins played Griffin's ruse that the line stunk got blown up. If these guys don't resent each other by now their aren't human.

It's not Kirk's fault Rob played like ass and Rob isn't going to be mad at the guy who never expected to be offered the job in the first place. He might be pissed at the organization, the owner who made promises he didn't keep, the former coach who gave up on him, the current coach who gave up on him, himself for playing so poorly, etc. but to be mad at Kirk for seizing the opportunity is something only yellow journalism could formulate.

One more for you:

Jason Cole

@JasonColeBR

At this point in time, if #RG3 doesn't start the season, the most likely option for Washington will be Colt McCoy at QB.

I just don't understand why some guy would randomly "reveal" this after a Skins victory...it doesn't make sense. Griffin and Cousins have been seen interacting on the sidelines, and Cousins has praised him multiple times in interviews.

I pay no attention to bleacher report... Most of their stuff seems to be trash... Hell, as proof, they have even posted a couple of my blogs.

there's so much here that doesn't make any sense at all - why is Griffin still on the roster? if he can't play, get rid of him
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

But he can play. Other reasons he is still on the roster: Depth, potential trade bait, and no sense in just cutting him outright.

This is BS Griffin was talking to the other quarterbacks and rallying around the whole team for that matter. So tired of the media BS...

Calling that report "media" is a bit of a stretch.

I don't expect him to be for long. I'm also surprised he's still here. The won't let him on the field for fear of injury. Maybe they hope to get something in trade but I'd shocked if anyone wants to pick up his 2016 cap hit.

not according to many here, he can't - he's so bad that some want him released so he can go and play badly elsewhere

I'd love for him to show that he can play QB here but if not, I'd love for him to go some other place and light it up

I agree with you in that I think he does provide depth at QB and while Cousins should be the QB here the real reason that Griffin is still here is that despite what some fans think, guys that know, (Jay and Scot) are not cutting a QB that can play and especially not one that can get the ball long and in the hands of a DeSean Jackson

Griffin is not still on this roster solely because he throws a good deep ball. He's trade bait. That's it.

Yes and no. What NFL offense operates on a single read 100% of the time?

On a positive note, we might be able to trade Griffin for Andrew Luck straight up if Luck keeps playing like this. [-o<

I agree, complete BS, I just wish Robert hadn't addressed it. These guys live to get a rise out of the players and by addressing it Robert played right into his hands.

we disagree on this - Griffin is here because he can play QB - if the guys here knew that he could not play QB, like you and some others here think, he would not be here because he would not be worth anything ...

I noticed Griffin on the sidelines during the game - there certainly did not seem to be any animosity that I could see - just the opposite

I think this kid can play QB a lot better than we've seen the past 2 years - maybe that's not happening here and that's fine with me

Griffin may not be on this roster next season - there will be many others who are not here who will most likely go on and play and coach well elsewhere as well
